Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa

This resort is truly the best on the island. The pool is large enough with a lazy river, the beach is easily accessible, the food is great and most importantly, the staff was great. I saw negative comments prior to booking, these must be one-offs. I believe that if you request assistance, the staff will do whatever they can to help you. Great for families!

It’s an amazing place for vacation especially with kids, just overall very pricy, costs like parking and resort fee add up quickly. Food at the property and around (even food trucks to a certain degree) are almost the same.

First time here, it was an amazing stay. Our room was upgraded to a room by the original lobby and it was amazing! Every day we returned to a made room and fresh towels. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect! Everything was on point for this experience. We attended the Luau there and that was great, food was surprisingly good (past luaus I attended, food was not too great). The only problem was the seating. We had standard seating and unfortunately our table was shared by really rude people that made us feel really uncomfortable in the beginning. Had it not been for their teenaged daughter the mother would have kept asking us to move out if their seats. My young children were confused why they could not sit there. Anyway, other thank that this was by far an amazing trip all around!!

No room available at check in. Room we had was rushed to clean so not clean at all. The property in general is run down, stained carpets, pealing paint, old furniture. It seems locals lived there long term after the fire and really ran the place down. Even the grounds were not kept up very well Beds were uncomfortable but most importantly there was an altercation at the pool involving hawaiian locals. They thought we had said something to their locals. They thought we had said something to their kids when we said nothing to anyone. They threatened bodily injury and my entire family was terrified. Security was called and 2 older out of shape men showed up to respond to a violent and scary situation. We were so scared we immediately checked out within the hour as we did not feel safe at allallall.hourbutwerewere horrible. Staff unfriendly

Nothing unique. The pools are just ok. Nothing fancy. No activity for kids other than just running around the swimming pool. Concierge didn’t have much to recommend but just talk about his life. Whalers village was close by and had all the shops and restaurants. Very clean hotel though. Although the staff was kinda rude but its understandable after the maui wildfires.

We were upgraded to an ocean view room, which was great! However, instead of a sofa sleeper, we had a "chair" sleeper, which was very uncomfortable for my grandson. It was very rough and needed some type of mattress cover/pad, not just a sheet. Also, it would be nice if there was another less expensive breakfast option other than Starbucks. The dining options are quite expensive for children, who don't eat enough to warrant those prices. Is there some type of schedule that lists the events, like the fire dance by the pool? We found it by accident - it would've been nice to know about it ahead of time. Also, the front desk gave us conflicting stories about whether there was a Luau Monday night, and how the arcade games worked (did we need tokens or not). The maids did not seem to understand us when we asked for extra sheets, etc.. They have quite limited English. It also would be nice if you would HEAT your pool as it was REALLY chilly this time of year! Other than that, the grounds are lovely and the staff is friendly.

Staffs are very friendly, and it’s safe to walk at night. The rooms are spacious, and have the perfect view of the beach and the ocean. Easy access to the beach. My family loves the Luau show. A few things to improve are towel cleaness, bathroom is a bit dated, and balcony cleaness.

Hotel was okay . Need kids programs

Awesome hotel for the whole family. Expensive, but then again most things are when on a Hawaiian vacation.

The Sheraton was absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed our 8 night stay. The rooms were very clean, the grounds were well kept, the pool was pristine and the food and drinks were delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family!
