Starting with the good - the lady at the breakfast station was working hard to have everything stocked and clean all through the breakfast time. Hands down she was the highlight of the stay. Otherwise check in was sub par. I’m not sure but I have noticed booking through Hotels.com gets me different treatment at check in. This isn’t the first time that the front desk person looks less than thrilled to check me in. The couple that was in front of me seemed to get the royal treatment, free perks, upgrades, smiles and jokes. They walk away and I’m up next and the front desk lady’s whole demeanor changed. It was seriously weird and awkward. She said the sink was cracked, don’t worry about it. Well what a great introduction. Next we walk in the room with our dog, we paid a $25 pet fee, and the whole room reeks like dog urine. Think of your vet’s office but worse. They need to rip up the carpets and put in vinyl flooring and it will smell a lot better and pet accidents can be cleaned better. My dog doesn’t have accidents. However why do they charge everyone a pet fee if the smell isn’t even being addressed? Well I hope my $25 will go towards new floors, asap. Room 116. My husband walked the dog at night and there was a creepy guy smoking by the dumpster. Also my husband saw a 4-inch long roach in the bathroom at night. I saw a baby one in the morning. Honestly that doesn’t bother me as much as the urine smells. I grew up in FL and have seen my fair share of roaches.

We had a king suite and the space was nice. The room wasn’t the cleanest and included someone else’s hair in the bed, shower area, etc. The heating and cooling unit in the king bedroom made a very loud scraping sound and the noise was constant. The furniture had a lot of wear and tear and had torn fabric on cushions etc. The hotel itself needs a thorough cleaning. The elevator hasn’t been inspected since 2022 and the permit is expired. I took a picture for my Yelp review. The hotel sign fell off of the hotel while we were there which blocked a fire escape when it was wedged between a palm tree and the door. They’re lucky nobody was walking out that door when it fell, as they probably wouldn’t have survived the impact. I also had the pleasure of photographing a front desk worker smoking weed while at work. It was an eventful trip. At the breakfast buffet one of the bagels had mold on it so I stuck with the prepackaged oatmeal each day. The food quality was very poor. This is not a place I’d stay again, for sure. This may have ruined all LaQuintas for me. We picked it because it was close to the submarine base that we were at for our eldest child’s chief pinning ceremony. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and feel it’s overpriced for what you get. It has not been maintained well.

We were very impressed with this property and the staff. We were greeted warmly upon entering the premises to check in. The staff were informative and polite upon check in. They were excellent and very helpful, and everything was very clean and orderly. We had to check out 3 days early due to hurricane Idalia and since we booked with Expedia LaQuinta couldn't help with a refund so a wonderful staff member told me if I called them I could give her name and she would speak with them. The first time I called I was on hold 40 minutes and then disconnected. The 2nd time I called and spoke with a representative from Expedia explaining the situation and requesting reimbursement for leaving early. I gave the rep from Expedia the front desk staff members name to call and he did so and got back with me and told me it had been taken care of. During my phone call with Expedia, the staff member from LaQuinta called and left a message that she had contacted her GM who called Expedia and had my card credited for the 3 days. I felt like everyone from the front desk all the way down to the cleaning staff were excellent and like family. I will be using LaQuinta from now on.

The lobby, restrooms and workout facility were all really clean and smelled good. I’ve stayed at a couple of hotels in Kingsland and this might be the most well kept and updated. The beds look extremely clean and are comfortable to lay on. The only issue I had was very minor, but the TV’s in the room weren’t smart TV’s and the Hotel subscribes to Direct TV. Unfortunately, the signal keeps out due to the Thunderstorms and cloud cover. Being in Georgia, we frequently have storms passing through, so it’s a consideration if you really want to watch something or if you have kids that need their YoutubeTV or Netflix. You won’t be able to watch any streaming services on your TV at this hotel. However, if cleanliness is your main objective, this hotel is CLEAN and there isn’t even a hint of cigarette smoke or smell anywhere.

The pool was great. My family really enjoyed it. We had 6 rooms of family members staying at the hotel for my daughter’s wedding. The facility was clean and no bad order’s considering you allow pets.

I have stayed at this property numerous times on my way to/from Florida each year. The main reason I pick this property is its pet friendly policy. However, as I also travel with an elderly family member, she finds the beds to be too soft and too high off the floor for her to get in and out of. Also, they DO NOT have enough handicapped accessible rooms and the ones they do have are on the second floor, which in an emergency such as a fire, it would be very difficult to evacuate. I'm surprised that the State of Georgia hasn't fined them for this. Otherwise, the property is clean and in an area with ample eateries and gas stations.

Couldn’t get any breakfast. There was a group of kids which took over and wouldn’t let me go a head of them

I popped in here while traveling with my kids. Not only was it convenient, but everything about our stay was great. We were late checking in, so we had to call the front desk clerk when we arrived, but that wasn't a big deal at all. I appreciate the effort to keep guests safe. We checked in quickly and headed to our room. Despite the room being by the elevator, it was relatively quiet in the hotel. The room was clean. Breakfast ended at 9 a.m. I would have liked it to end close to 10 or 10:30, but there were lots of quick options for breakfast. Overall, it was a great stay!
