SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Smyrna Beach

I used to live in New Smyrna Beach so I know the town well. Our annual beach weekend office party had us staying at the SpringHill Suites this year. We paid almost $400 per night to stay and mostly it was for convenience. Garage parking & elevators provide easy access to unload baggage/ get up to room. Upon entering the floor of our room you could feel the mustiness & when we entered our room it was humid and musty. The a/c return on the wall was FILTHY! I brought paper towels with me (after reading other reviews about the lack of towels provided) and I wiped it down three times which barely made a dent. It wouldn’t have been such an issue if not for the fact it’s right next to the bed & the dust is so in your face. Yes, the a/c is LOUD! Bring earplugs to sleep. Next the barn door bathroom door was broken. The lock absolutely didn't work/lineup & the big handle in the door was only screwed in on the bottom. So when you grab the handle to slide the door, it’s dangling down. The toilet is not made for a hotel as it never filled up after flushing. We had to constantly jiggle the handle or take the lid off to play with it to get it to fill with water. The balcony was dirty. I don’t think anyone ever cleans the balcony. Floor was full of dirt, slider door frame was filthy and so were railings. I didn’t want to stand on it bare footed. No house keeping over two night stay. Pool is full of kids but beach is steps away. Of course dining, shopping & nightlife abound.

Our room was very clean and very nice however with younger children, doesn’t make sense we were given the room right beside the bar on Flagler.

I was so happy to find a hotel that had rooms to accommodate our family of 6. The staff was extremely helpful.

Beautiful rooms, being on the beach, nice dining area to eat beautiful breakfast, lovely patio with two fire pits for our friends and family.

Beautiful room at a nice location on NSB. Every thing was great but one critique is that we had to call in order to get room service. The first two days we did not get room service at all. We traveled with young children and you can imagine the smell of our trash because it was not taken out.
