Kompose Boutique Hotel

This was a really enjoyable stay for me. All of the staff were great, the breakfast options are reasonable, and the bartender Devin is amazing (she's made some great cocktail mixes available when the bar is open). The format of the rooms are a little unusual with the shower/toilet/sink placement but it still looks really nice and everything was super clean. The pool and hot tub areas are nice and relaxing. There's even some game things that can be played for groups or those with kids (ping pong and corn hole toss). The hotel is closeby the airport, the Ringling museums (yes, those Ringlings), the downtown area and the beach are not far away, and there are many options for great places to eat nearby. The only time I had an issue was trying to get my very old laptop onto the wifi and thats only because it would not go to the correct website to sign in and the lady at the front desk was not aware of the address for the login since it was supposed to be automated. Other than that, everything was smooth from check-in to check-out.

The hotel was a great choice for our one night stay in Sarasota. The gentleman at the front desk was super accommodating and was very professional. Our room was clean and our kids enjoyed the outdoor pool!

We love staying here. It was our second time. It’s quite. No one bothers you. Easy to get in and out especially with parking. Not far from everything you need. Front desk is always best help with all your needs and super fast. The espresso they have is actually some pretty amazing coffee…. UNFORTUNATELY …. Not having room cleaning every day sucks. Especially when we stayed for 6 days. The floors get so dirty your feet are black every time. The bed sheets get dirty. Garbage piles up and especially being a mom of 4 on vacation, the last thing you wanna worry about is having to clean 24/7 to enjoy your room. I think we had BUGS in our room or bed. Both my husband and I have like 40 bug bites all over that itch and hurt. Also breakfast really sucks I’m sorry 😬 the cereal is cool but maybe for kids. Everything els was flavorless and not many options.

Breakfast was disappointing. They have hash browns, sausages, bacon, eggs, beagles, cereal, all week no variety. Besides that they have the waffle makers; On the first day they removed one of the two waffle makers because it broke down (we had to wait in line if we wanted a waffle for a long time) and 2 days later the last waffle maker broke down. I used the gym which has acceptable equipment to do a complete exercise routine, but due to lack of maintenance, the bar of one of the machines got stuck and my son and I almost had an accident. I let the front desk employees know (they treated us excellently) but they did nothing about it all week. The problem we had with the room was the bathroom, our children are in the stage of adolescence and the bathroom in the room was designed without much privacy and that made my son and daughter very uncomfortable. The hotel is nice, but there are things that need to be improved.

Excellent hotel pretty clean and organized, quite nice for families and friends

Great hotel. Clean, new, modern. Loved the hard finishes of concrete & stone; overall impression was very sterile which is what you want in a hotel. Shower was a bit lacking. Bed frame slides away from wall when sitting up in bed to watch tv. Lots of kids running around which was surprising.

Nice room. Very cold air. Big concern, floors in ADA room very slippery. Almost fell on a very small spot of water on the floor in bathroom. May want to put some anti skids on the floors.

I stayed there several times. Usually every time, I'm in town. Every time, it was a great experience. Until recently staying. I was my way down for my breakfast. In the elevator from the 4th floor, a man suddenly jumped in. He approached me and said he was losing his phone. Demanded me to give my phone to him. From the look of it, he looks like a druggie. He simply looked at him and refused. Luckily, the door opened. I ran to the counter staffs and reported him. That was it. Please take security very seriously. This could have been a family, kid or female. Thank you, Chez Boodparset

I stay here every time I come to Sarasota. Love the place and the price. Pretty good breakfast, and gorgeous lounge. My only complaint is that I’ve seen people smoking at the pool area every single time that I’ve been here. I have to little kids and I did not like exposing them to that. Staff is quick to get everyone out of the pool at 9 pm sharp, maybe be more sharp and walk around during the day too :)
