Courtyard by Marriott Sarasota Bradenton Airport

It’s a good place for work, though be aware that there are families here in and out at all hours. That’s pretty much the case with any hotel in Florida.

I usually stay at the Hyatt in the same area unfortunately, there were sold out and I decided to stay at Courtyard by Marriott. I must say I was pleasantly surprised, and I also told the staff manager the same thing quite a different experience from the Hyatt and I must say I will have no problems booking a state here again. My first night however, was like what the hell did I sign up for but then it turns out to be a soccer tournament so it was quite busy with kids then I’m not used to being around so many kids in a hotel but I totally understood why. It was a laughable moment. And the staff in the bistro! perfect, so friendly and made you enjoy your food and conversations that you had with them.

There were several hotels across the street and I should’ve chosen to book at one of those! Why? The gentleman who checked me in put me in a room that was unfit. Did he not know the room was in that state? I find that unlikely. When I walked into my room it was very clear someone had smoked in the room. The smell was terrible and there was even a machine in there set up to clear the stink. I should have never been given a room like that! Of course I went back to the front desk to ask for a different room and he gave me a room with only one bed when my original booking was for a room with two beds. Again, he must’ve known I needed two beds since that was what I booked but he didn’t even bother saying anything to me about the new room having only one bed. I will never make the mistake of staying at this hotel again. The TVs were tiny. There were hundreds of kids at the hotel making noise all night. The shower had terrible water pressure. Doors slamming all night.
