The Don CeSar

The kids and I woke up in night sweats constantly from the overkill down comforters in Tampa in the middle of the summer. Who ever thinks people sleep with those in middle of the summer is clueless. The night desk guy will let you stand in front of him for several mintes while he small talks with others, deftly talented in ignoring guests.

This will be the Eastcoast go to spot for our family. The staff was simply five star, friendly, helpful, inviting and warm. The view out to the Gulf Coast from our hotel room was absolutely awesome. You will not be disappointed with this resort.

This resort is top-notch! From the minute you check in you are greeted by a friendly staff, the on-site restaurant has a wonderful kids menu and decadent desserts. The beach is incredibly clean and well managed. From start to finish, we are so glad we chose to stay here during our trip to Florida. We can’t wait to come back again!

Great stay for relaxing on the beach with the family

This was a really nice property for a weekend at the beach. The staff were all so helpful and friendly and it has a great mix of nice cocktail bar and vibe but also fun for children.

We have been coming for solid 8 years to the Don staying 2-3x a year. Every single time it is an amazing trip. Katie and Jackie are absolutely amazing at pool side service. Even on crazy busy spring break week they hustled and took care of us. Food was coming out fast from the kitchen as well. Denis with valet is always so friendly, kind and energetic. If you have children, Kiki who runs the Don Kids club thrs-sun always has an amazing energy and kids absolutely adore her!!! My 8 yr old loves her and looks forward to the Don kids club days!!! Kiki is a godsend!!!

The hotel itself it’s beautiful and the beach is heavenly, but as a repeat guest it was hard not to notice how the service has changed and not for the better. From the moment we arrived, the young lady that checked us in was unfriendly and unaccommodating. Then i ordered room service on our first night there and it had not arrived an hour and a half late called back to find out the order was never prepared and i would have to wait another 40 minutes to feed to feed my kids. The housekeeping service was the worst , they came in and never replaced toiletries, or towels, and on our third day there we came back from the beach at 8pm to find out our room had never been cleaned at all. All these issues were met by a less than helpful response from the front desk staff who seemed overwhelmed by the hotel being busy during spring break, which should be expected. When you stay at a property as expensive and exclusive at The Don CeSar one should expect professional and competent service. This was disappointing to say the least.

the hotel was very clean and smelled wonderful. The staff was awesome but the beds were terrible!!!!!!! The toilet paper was like sandpaper. Unfortunately it stormed the whole time we were there so the kids were bored but. The pool areas were nice too. Overall, good experience just terrible beds!!!

We had a great experience here with our young family! The pool and beach was very kid friendly. The hotel is older but has been updated and is very cute. This resort is apart from the others by being greeted with champagne, beach chairs and umbrella included, room key bracelets and parking close by. The only thing that didn't work for our family with young kids, is that no restaurant on site served "normal" casual food after 4pm, like a sandwich and fries or pizza. The only places had oysters and things we were not looking for and it was not within walking distance of anywhere else to eat, with car seats, uber/cab was not an option for us. So we had to order in pizza, but luckily we had options for delivery and tables around the pool to eat at.
