Hampton Inn Panama City Beach

I quit staying at the Holiday Express because they don’t have maid service and they always raised the rates at the end of the stay. Now the Hampton Inns are following that example. We stayed at the Hampton in Panama city beachfor two nights and days. There was no maid service and when asked about it or if they would clean my room I was told it wasn’t available. Then she handed me some towels and said she couldn’t do anymore. This hotel is close to the beach and has a pool besides and with children and normal activities there was trash that filled the small recepticles in the room. The maids didn’t even check to empty those or if there was sufficient toilet paper. By the time we left there was trash spilling everywhere and no toilet paper at all. We were on the third floor with no place to dump the trash. When we arrived even the floor of the bathroom was dirty and it appeated as the staff had mopped it quickly with soap but didn’t clean it properly as ones bare feet stuck to the floor as you walked there and left feet feeling dirty afterwards. Overall I think the IHG has really lost the meaning of “Customer Service”!

My daughter and I along with a friend and her daughter did a girls trip. We enjoyed our time at the hotel. Close to the beach. It was a family friendly hotel. The staff was great with their friendliness. Our breakfasts were awesome. We would stay at this hotel every time we come to the beach!

Walking through the front door the place had a unique smell to it. Once we got the key to our room we get there and open the door immediately you can smell mildew, old dirty carpet it was horrible. I ask the housekeeper on the floor if I can change my room and he let me in a room across the hall the room was no different. The front desk lady (white/heavy) was annoyed that I wanted to change my room but she did give me a new room and key. I had to go out and buy alcohol to spray the whole room down. There was no mattress protector on one of the beds, there was 8 pillows and they all had pillowcases but only 2 had pillow protectors so I had to go and get some from the front desk. Housekeeping never came to our room to see if we need new towels since we stayed more than 2 nights. When I did ask for new towels and washcloths she stated she didn’t have any and go to the front desk. As I stop by their laundry room and ask the lady who was sitting there on her phone she said that they were in the dryer and didn’t have anything clean. Our last night several kids were in the pool having a fun time that front desk lady (white/heavy) came and kicked everyone out the pool area stating she had complaints and how its 10pm and they have to get out minding you pool close at 11 and everyone that was at the hotel on spring break. Even the breakfast lady had an attitude and wouldn’t put more muffins out for guest that asked. Paid too much to stay there and they service was poor.DO NOT STAY!

Nice hotel in PCB. The rooms are spacious and modern. The room walls are a bit thin. I could hear the other doors slamming and people talking in the hallway, but generally pretty quiet after 10 or 11pm. The gentleman running the complimentary breakfast did a phenomenal job - kept things replenished, fresh, very clean, and asked kids and a few adults if they need assistance with the waffle iron. He was very attentive to detail. I hope the management recognizes his great work.
