Hampton Inn & Suites Ocala

The service and customer service to my family including my service dogs from the young lady that checked me in was outstanding!! Thank you very much and keeep up the great service

We enjoyed a one night stay while visiting family in Ocala. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a variety of choices staff were pleasant to interact with. We are marking this stop as a favorite for future travels

The rooms were clean and well maintained. Great shower pressure and bathroom supplies. While the property and front desk staff were great. The employee working the breakfast was terrible. I personally did not have an interaction with her but watched and listened to her be rude to other guests. Breakfast was available until 10 and at 9 she was telling people she’s not filling anything to make due with what was left. There where a lot of families with little kids that weren’t going to eat oatmeal and sausage patties. How hard is it to make more waffles batter. Even the bread was gone.

As a former hotel employee of many years, I know what it takes to have a memorable guest experience while portraying and executing a tight ship first class operation. This Hampton Inn and Suites did it all. From cleanliness to courtesy, simplicity and good food, I was pleasantly surprised and will be back - I have family in the area and will be needing a place to stay regularly. You have a friendly, responsive, and well-trained staff. In this day and age, you are to be commended.

Was within walking distance of both Cracker Barrell and Burger King, which was nice. Some front desk staff went above and beyond to be helpful when I was unable to access the Wi-Fi and also needed directions. Was not able to access the Wi-Fi even after getting assistance from the manager as I have great security on my laptop and could not access "open" Wi-Fi". They really tried to help. I liked the lay-out of the room having the king bed facing the window, but this also created one of my "dislikes". Because the AC vent position was not adjustable, when air was blowing, it hit me right in the face when I was in bed (not good). Another negative was I asked the evening front desk person that checked me in to put me in a king room that was close to an end of a hall or at least in a quiet area as I needed rest after a recent surgery. He explained suites were at the end of the halls so he couldn't put me there, but he would put me on the quiet side. I was put on the second floor, 4 doors down from the elevator with a loud person above me and people on all sides. If that was a "quiet" area, I would hate to be in a loud area. Had to sleep in ear plugs at night (which I have to do in my apartment at home every night) needless to say, that part of my stay was not very enjoyable. Also, the toilet was very low (a toddler level toilet, I call it), rather than the adult height, which makes it more difficult for us older people. Grab bar would have been nice, though handicapped not needed.

Staff was great! We were there for a large swimming meet in the area and so we were at the hotel with a lot of other swimmers. Staff did an amazing job with so many kids who have to be up early, have breakfast and be at the pool!
