Best Western Naples Plaza Hotel

We stayed two nights. Our whole family got bitten by bed bugs. We have an itchy rash all over our bodies.

We arrived to the hotel for check in around 10pm, everything was ok during the check-in process, taking the elevators, walking down the hallway to the room everything was fine, as soon as we opened the door the air and smell hit us on the face, Weed/Marihuana smell (however you want to call it) we called immediately the front desk to complain about it and they asked us if we wanted to change rooms, you need to know that we were carrying our two children asleep, 1 toddler and a baby so we decide to stay in, we were so tired. We went into the room and the smell seemed to dissipate close to the windows, when the cleaning lady arrived and opened the door to apply the air spray to eliminate the odor she was in shock as how strong the smell was… The next morning when we try to turn the TV ON, it wasnt working. This experience ruined our stay at the hotel, we wont be coming back and our friends will hear about this hopefully so they can decide if they choose to stay here or go somewhere else.

We liked having a balcony that overlooked the pool and the staff was nice and seemed to be cleaning a lot. That being said, our room smelled like mildew I tried my best to keep the temp low without making my baby cold hoping to keep humidity down, the dresser smelled so musty we couldn’t use it or it would’ve made our clothes stink horribly so we lived out of trash bags for 11 days.

Not the place that I would come with my family for any amount of time. Property is noisy and not of a quality 3 or 4 star property. Needs some help and TLC.

This property is very unique in that it is a historical hotel and it has been recently purchased by a lovely family who is renovating it. The minute you step in the front door you see that it isn't your usual hotel. There is a large staircase and bookshelves and a vintage style. I didn't love the intense amount of incense they had going. I would recommend they scale that back a bit, but to be honest, I don't like incense. I also recommend they get an ice machine that the guests can access easily versus having to ask a staff member to open the locked kitchen in order to get ice. The room was adequate with just a few glitches that are being addressed in the renovations.

Good, clean hotel. The lobby and hallways were scented with a nice fragrance. No musty smell anywhere. Our room was clean and spacious. I felt the a/c wasn't cooling enough, my wife and child said the room was 'freezing'. Who knows, maybe I got too much sun that day! The pool was good, not too much chlorine. Didn't try the hot tub. The only minus, and it's a minor one, was the breakfast. Yes, you get the usual standards, but not up to par in my book. Overall, very pleased. I've stayed here before this visit and I'll stay again in the future.

Absolutely horrible. Pricing was terrible. Not to mention, I was put on a floor with a baby shower event. Screaming children on a staycation is the worst at 6 am in the morning.
