Hotel Effie Sandestin

Me and my family had a great time definitely going back to this hotel because of the great service.

Another beautiful and memorable stay at the Effie! It is luxurious and a multitude of amenities. However, there were some notable disappointments in comparison to our last stay. We couldn’t check in early as hoped. Actually, we were told it would be ready for check in by 4. It wasn’t. At 15 minutes past I inquired at the desk and was told it was ready, though I hadn’t been notified. Last year they provided a free bottle of wine. Not this year. We weren’t offered “complimentary checkin drinks” or “daily fresh cookies,” unless they count the cucumber-water station. There was hair in the shower which means it was hastily cleaned. We never received room service. We had to ask for clean towels. The rooftop pool, beautiful grounds and walkability to restaurants and shopping is what brings us back. We took advantage of the four hour bike “free” rental unlike last time and we both loved the experience. They have tennis /pickle ball courts but we didn’t use them. I wish the roof top pool was restricted to adults only all the time. The adult only hours on Fri and Sat night was far more enjoyable than the kiddie pool that it became otherwise. Pool food and drinks are very good but pricey. Service at the pool is very good. We enjoyed the DJ during adult only time. Be aware, there are tons of required fees on top of the room rate and taxes. Even a one dollar a day “charity donation,” that is never mentioned. It just shows up on the bill. Valet and self parking are too close in price.

Quick trip last week. Looked like a cute place. Sadly, this hotel fell well below what I expected. Terrible customer service. They need to revamp the entire staff in an effort to actually seem like they care about the overall guest experience. Pool area was a mess in so many ways. People were waiting an hour for some chicken nuggets for their kids. Food in the main dining area was not as advertised online. Many other amazing choices for vacation stays in that area. Will never return.

The property is beautiful. The valet and bellhop service was great! However, the customer service could have been better. I had to ask for extra towels 3 times and when we ordered room service they forgot silverware and the extra plates for the kids.

I will recommend this hotel to all my friends and family! The hotel is gorgeous, roof top pool and views were spectacular! We brought out 2 yorkies and loved the treats and comfy bed given to them! We will be back!!

This hotel and the surrounding property were just what my family and I were needing for a quick getaway. Walkable to activities and restaurants in the area. The hotel was immaculate and beautifully styled. The grounds around the hotel were landscaped beautifully and it was a joy to use the included bike rental to explore.

Everyone was exceptionally kind from the moment we arrived. The rooms were large enough that my family of four didn’t feel cramped, and everything was clean and stylishly decorated. We were there over the Fourth of July and watching fireworks by the rooftop pool was magical. Be aware that there is only valet parking available and it is an extra $25 a day.

From the moment I embarked upon Hotel Effie Sandestin, what was most apparent, is how much each and every employee represented perfect commitment to the comfort and care of every individual visiting. My family and I were always made to feel important and comfortable. I look forward to many future stays! Thank you!

The overall experience was amazing but one staff member that help maintain the rooftop pool was blatantly showing signs of discrimination between us and others on the roof. The next evening when we returned my daughter sent her rolling her eyes at me. I honesty don’t even think the manager I reported this issue to took me seriously. It was a diverse group of people that were staying at this hotel so I hope this doesn’t happen to another family.

Cannot rave enough about this hotel. Our family of 4 continues to revisit this hotel. The staff are overly accommodating to ensure your stay is memory worthy.
