Hilton Garden Inn Destin Miramar Beach

My wife, daughter, and I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Destin Miramar Beach for a late anniversary/family trip, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. However, a few aspects left us disappointed, especially as Hilton rewards members. Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Special mention goes to **Lisa**, who was especially pleasant and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. Another staff member, a shorter woman with glasses (whose name we unfortunately didn’t catch), was equally kind and helpful. We loved the **balcony room**, which provided a nice view of the town. The room itself was spacious, clean, and perfect for our family. The location of the hotel is excellent, just a short drive to the beach, making it convenient for quick trips to the water. Cons: As a loyal **Hilton Rewards member**, I’ve always appreciated being recognized during my stays, even when booking through third-party sites. However, on this occasion, the manager informed me that because I booked through a third-party site, I wouldn’t be acknowledged as a Hilton Honors member, nor would I earn points for my stay. The hotel was very welcoming, and the staff was friendly. Our hotel room was very pleasant and clean! The hotel itself was close to many restaurants, shopping areas, and the beach. We were able to walk to get coffee, see the sunrise on the beach, and get brunch afterwards without taking a drive. Hands down a great hotel if you’re traveling with family or friends.

Service wasn't good. No greetings, no how was your stay, no thank you come again when we checked out. - Couldnt sleep dog barked the entire stay - then kids noisy in room and hallway

My family enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in a nice area. Beach, food, outlets, and convenience stores all walkable.

My son and I really loved that activities were within walking distance. I also really really liked the personal communications via text message. It’s more convenient and the turn around time to respond to needs was very quick. Every staff member we encountered was very professional and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this location to anyone traveling with kiddos.

The location is perfect for a family vacation. It is close to the beach, super market, CVS, Smoothie King, and some dining options. The only con would be the lack of housekeeping and mediocre service. When I go on vacation I like daily refreshing. We were told we had to request housekeeping (which I did), but we never could get it quite right. Otherwise, decent stay.

Location is great! Not far from the beach. I rented a golf cart towards end of trip for easier access and "less sand" There isn't a free or complimentary breakfast. You have to pay for breakfast. I did on the last day, it was basic. The hostess there does her job alone. She was a little snappy to certain guests. I literally heard her make a comment about a large family seating to another guest. I had to ask for towels like everyday! So, just ask when you get up to prevent not getting those. I had to ask for sheets and blanket for the sofa bed. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. I would only stay again if I'm alone. The sofa bed is the worst support ever. The actual bed and the pillows LOVED!!! We all loved. The pool is really small. If more than 4 guests are there, you will feel cramped.
