Hotel Ponce de Leon

This hotel caused my family the most stressful night ever when they refused to check us in and then charged us for the room. Terrible service.

I had the pleasure to stay for working reason before with a wonderful and confortable service so i comeback for a personal need on Mothers day i hope everyone in the building I know they are a nice family have a wonderful mothers day to!

On our first family trip with our toddler, my husband conducted research based on photos and reviews and chose this hotel. I believe the rate was $90 per day, but I think you could have found a motel in better condition and with more attentive staff than this joint. I am not sure how, but the Expedia website shows an 8.4 rating and it probably should be adjusted to something much lower. I am not sure if in some years prior things were better, but this place could be such a gem if more attention was given to many aspects of the property. There is rich history on the early days of the building along with pictures from that time. The location is nice as you can walk to lots of awesome restaurants and cafes. BUT the place is clearly old, some rooms have not been updated in some time and we even found roaches and mold in the bathroom on the ceiling. When we went back downstairs to speak with the staff member on duty, he refused to speak to me in English (my native language) and refused to give us a refund even though we had just checked in/paid at 2 AM due to a flight delay. This individual refused to give us our money right back at least for the second night (which we had just paid for). I saw I was getting nowhere with him so I asked for the owner/managers information and he again refused to provide that to me. In conclusion, DO NOT BOOK here.
