Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection

Everything about Playa Largo is great, from the rooms, restaurants, pool, beach and staff. Omg, the staff… everyone here is just amazing. If you’re at the sand bar make yourself a favor and ask for Sasha he mixes the best cocktails, if you’re at the pool/beach area look for Luigi he’s really welcoming and friendly, at El sol restaurant look for Javier! I’ll be back soon with my whole family.

The property was very clean and taken care of. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The environment was relaxing and kid friendly. The only negatives I have is that water pressure in the shower was very low, there was no microwave in our room so we had to go to the laundry room to heat leftovers. Everything was sooo expensive and the bed was a little hard. There was also a night we walked to a restaurant and got caught in a storm, we called to see if they could pick us up 2 miles away from the resorts and they said no. So we ran back to our the resort with lighting stringing down on us. In my opinion, we gave the resort so much money they should be willing to shuttle there guest short distances, especially in bad weather.

This property is overpriced. The rooms and indoor areas are in need of update. It was very crowded during our stay, with lots of screaming kids. Of the numerous pool and beach chairs onsite, we were not able to secure any over our 4 day stay. The beach is just ok. We had long waits for food. It was unclear before we arrived that the prepaid breakfast was just for 2 people, although we booked a stay for 3 people. We also did not know that the property allowed day guests, which decreased amenities and services provided to paying hotels guests, and added to the overcrowding. We will not be back.

Love this property!!! We went during spring break so it was pricey but a fantastic trip. My boy comment would be that I wished they had more activities for kids and water sports on the facility. They had a some but not enough to keep active kids occupied for more than a few days.

The resort was very well laid out. Depending on which of the four sports you visited for dinner, the service was just good/okay. As most resorts move to include the 20% gratuity on all tabs, I think it can reduce the quality of service. That being said, all the food for dinner was great. We both ended up getting food poisoning from breakfast which was not ideal. The location of the resort is great. They have a beautiful piece of property. There were work conventions going on and our room faced a parking lot, so that could have been better. This was not a quiet resort. A couple large groups were getting pretty wild to the point that a manager asked us to let them know if we wanted them to call security. That wasn’t necessary, but good to know if you’re taking a family. I would probably stay here again but ask for a different room this time.

Great place for the family

Nice resort but cleanliness is not top priority. Kids and adults were eating while still in the pool and there were way to many kids in the pool to enjoy it. I sat by pool for a couple hours and never saw one kid get out to use restroom.

very relax atmosphere; great for kids only drawback my wife left her sunglasses on the table next to her lounge chair when it started drizzling; came back to look for them and they were gone asked our server and said he never saw them. checked lost & found and front desk but nothing
