Hampton Inn Key Largo Manatee Bay

We come to this property specifically every year for our anniversary. The tiny beach, cabana area and amenities are perfect for a Couple's or family getaway. Breakfast is great and the staff is always warm. The walls are thick and we never worry about disturbances. If you like wildlife (manatee, fish, iguanas, birds), this is the place for you.

The hotel was very nice, but what really made our trip excellent was Stephanie at the front desk. We had 2 rooms under 2 separate reservations, I called to ask for our rooms to be close together and she got us next door, with an adjoining door!! It was a birthday celebration trip for the family and she gave the kids snacks as well as a boat rental as a gift. Friendly, kind and the best representation the hotel could have! We had a great time and will definitely be back! The rooms were great, but the open shower was sort of messy, water came out of the shower all over the floor. We had a great time at the beach area and the pool. We borrowed games and they have a good breakfast as well as coffee and tea free all day in the lobby. Microwave and fridge in the rooms.

Pros: Perfect location to go snorkeling at Pennecamp which I highly recommend. Close to some nice places to eat. Outdoor area with the little beach, tiki bar, cornhole and pool was nice, especially for families. Lots of iguanas by the pool which was fun to watch. Most staff were nice and friendly. Housekeeper was really nice. Second room we had was near the pool and I enjoyed it. Cons: the lady who checked us in was rude and just wanted us gone. The other lady at the desk was friendly to her guests. She also checked us out with the same attitude. The first night, the carpet in our room was wet and the ac sounded like a tea kettle all night and we got no sleep. The sheets and the towels in that room were like sandpaper and the mattress uncomfortable. (Room 142) The next day we moved to a different room which was was nicer. (Room 119) Bed was still not comfortable, but we did get some sleep. They didn't offer us any compensation, but we didn't ask so that's on us.

We have loved our stay here. The amenities are comfortable and very beautiful. Whether you are traveling with kids, pets or your partner, the beach, pool, tiki bar and full hot breakfast will absolutely blow you away. Cannot wait to book another trip down here!

So the property itself was a little lack luster. Rooms are older and beach was not what we expected.Part due to us not realizing what type of area Key largo was, not really a beach area. Even the most talked about beaches, aren't truly not like a beach. After we realized it's more like an upnorth feel at coral reefs, more "out on a boat' type of place....it made sense....Overall in the end it ended up really nice! At our Hampton hotel we saw a Manatee one morning right next to us just at the beach at the hotel, a baby shark and Jelly fish as we kayaked.igunas hanging out in the morning on the lawn. It was really a beautiful place to be. To top it, Erta at Hampton Inn is really who helped make it nice. She knew we were disappointed initially & tried to make it better. Her friendly attitude and helpful way was amazing! She would make us come back again for sure! Thank you Erta for making our stay so much better! You truly helped us enjoy our stay!

This is a great hotel and location! Is in Manatee Bay but never in my life did I expect to see and swim with a manatee family that turned up just off the beach on our last day! Baby was very adventurous and playful and made my holiday!

Very nice place to stay, very kid friendly!

My room was setup for a handicapped visitor and was a bit uncomfortable for me as not handicapped person. The shower instead of a normal tub and shower was open and caused the bathroom floor to get wet. The shower head leaked all the time. The toilet also leaked and ran constantly with an annoying water flow sound. The sink in the bath was very small and raised to permit a wheel chair to get under it. Very little space on the sink counter for my save get. The toilet was also raised and uncomfortably high. On the nice side parking was easy and the hot breakfast was very nice. The staff were friendly. This is a nice place for a family stay with pool and access via a private beach to water.

Running and stomping upstairs was reported late night and early morning, the stuff did not address this issue, my family was tired and cranky the next day.

Quaint little beach. Ideal for little ones. Rented kayak $25/hr a little expensive but we enjoyed it.
