Riverside Hotel

The property is in the heart of Ft Lauderdale so it’s super convenient. We thought the beds were really uncomfortable, the AC didn’t work great, and the bathrooms are very small with no counter space. A mirror in the main area with plugs would be great so the bathroom can be freed up for others to get ready. Just not ideal for people sharing a room or family

AC blows cold directly on king bed head sleeping area. We had a king junior suite. I think it was 901 or 910. AC then shuts off for long periods and you sweat. The design of the AC is terrible. Room has recent new wood floor that was outgassing unpleasant vapors. Other than that nothing remarkable good or bad about the property.

Loved our stay at the Riverside. Canal-side pool with the bar and restaurant was lovely. Floated in 500sq ft hotel room for 1-night. Would definitely stay again. Took the water taxi from the hotel all around the city (round trip water taxi is 3 hours, has a bathroom and sells drinks). Got off water taxi at stop 6 at far end of Las Olas Boulevard to ride golf cart taxi back to hotel. Easy place to stay with kids and family (but bring your own water!). Couldn’t find a bottle of water to by anywhere nearby!

Always enjoy our stays at Riverside Hotel every 3 months. We visit our children and grand babies. So convenient to many restaurants and fun right out your door step.

We stayed at Riverside before our cruise with our family and absolutely loved it! It's in a great location with tons of dining options and shopping nearby. We loved the pool, food and felt very safe. We will definitely return.

It was raining and hailing like crazy! Like sheets of rain coming down. Pulled up and they helped us with all out bags and had towels up front for people. That's very thoughtful. Was greeted by a lovely Dede. She was so sweet and very knowledgeable. We got in early and our rooms weren't ready but we had so much to do. So she assisted us in upgrades to rooms that were just cleaned. And even helped with some discounts since we were upgrading two rooms. Got us in and even called later to make sure our rooms were up to our standards. Penthouse corner suites baby they were amazing. Anyway everyone was really great and welcoming. And the area is mind blowing! She really was a great worker and human being. We will be back forsure. Uber Driver told me it was the oldest hotel in Fort Lauderdale. Not sure how true that is but it has been open since 1936. Would've never guessed. Amazing gym as well. Best one I've been to. Don't think about it. Just book it and stay here. You'll be happy you did.

There is absolutely no soundproofing in this hotel. I could clearly hear the family talking in the room next to ours. Very loud groups were walking down the hallway late at night 12:00 am. with absolutely no regard for people trying to sleep.The beds need replacing because ours and our friends’ were pretty saggy. I don’t think I would stay here again.

I Love everything about Riverside. Great location, great food, and service was great. I have already recommended several friends and family. This is definitely the place to go. Absolutely Excellent!!!

The stay was nice, plenty of local restaurants to choose from in the area. We walked along Las Olas Blvd. several times and checked out the many different shops and boutiques. I purchased a ceramic frog for my wife @ Ann's Florist & Coffee Bar. She's got a thing for frog's married me hoping I'd turn into a PRINCE, no luck there LOL. We are pretty local only about 30 to 40 minutes away, but it is a great place for couples and families alike. We actually met a couple who were married at the Riverside Hotel and were returning to celebrate their FIRST WEDDING ANNIVERSERY. So if your looking for a nice stay at a nice Historic Hotel, consider the Riverside Hotel. Also the beach is only a 20 minute ride away. Tony S.

The hotel was beautiful, in a wonderful location, the staff were all excellent. We were shocked to find an envelope in the Courtyard with pornographic images but we turned it in to the hotel staff so the kids playing in courtyard wouldn’t see it.
