The Avenue Inn and Spa

Very convenient location to all the wonderful things that Rehoboth Beach has to offer. The Avenue offers a quaint B&B feel even though it's a boardwalk beach hotel. We stayed in the Avenue II, which offered a large room, but did not feel as "plush" as the main hotel. For instance, the room was somewhat dark and the bedding could use an upgrade. Mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. They do make it a point to warn guests about the noise at night as it's located in the center of happening spots on Rehoboth Ave. We did not mind it, but if you have little ones who are trying to sleep at night, this may be an issue for you. The wine and cheese welcome reception was simply, but lovely. John was a wonderful staff member tending to guests. There are ample areas for cozy seating. I thought it was wonderful that you could use the amenities until 3pm even though check out was at 11. Private parking was also convenient and could be utilized early on check in day, and until 11:30 on the day of check-out. We enjoyed the Avenue, but I'm curious how the experience differs staying in the main building as opposed to Avenue II.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving weekend at this charming establishment, and we are already counting down the days until our return for Christmas. One of the standout features of the Avenue Inn and Spa is its fantastic amenities. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by an indoor saltwater pool, which provided a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Additionally, the amazing outdoor hot tub was a definite highlight, allowing us to soak in the warm water while taking in the crisp winter air. The steam room was another delightful amenity, providing a soothing retreat for both the body and mind. The Avenue Inn and Spa went above and beyond in ensuring our stay was nothing short of perfect. Each morning, we indulged in the included hot buffet breakfast, which never failed to impress with its delicious variety of options. In the evenings, we looked forward to the happy hour wine and cheese, which added a touch of elegance to our holiday experience. And let's not forget the delightful cookies served during the evening hours, a sweet treat that truly made us feel at home. Location-wise, the Avenue Inn and Spa couldn't be better situated. We have stayed here for many family vacations. It a great location and facility is clean. We love all the extra daily events they have for customers such as daily wine & cheese hour (adults only) and milk and cookies in the evening. Best of all, LEW he is the driver of the golf cart. He is such a friendly guy and to have that extra transportation experience is really nice with young kids and older adults. We will be definitely coming back year after year!

When we checked in the hotel, we were promptly informed about a room leak issue causing the carpet to be wet. Despite having two young children with us, our request to switch rooms went unanswered as there were no available alternatives. To their credit, the hotel did compensate us for one night, which was appreciated. However, the moment we entered our assigned room, an unpleasant odor from the leak greeted us, compounded by the dampness of the carpet. Hoping the situation would improve, we anticipated the smell to dissipate by the next day. Regrettably, the odor not only persisted but worsened. Seeking resolution, I visited the front desk to once again inquire about changing rooms, yet their response lacked any concern or viable solutions. Frustrated by smell and the leak, we ultimately decided to check out a night ahead of schedule. During the checkout, I reiterated the issue to the manager, but he did not seem to really care and or offer any solution. While the hotel itself appeared pleasant, the steep price we paid led us to expect proactive solutions or, at the very least, a room change when faced with such conditions. It's disheartening that we had to bear the cost of an unsatisfactory stay.

The Avenue Inn and Spa is a perfect place to bring your family especially children, the location was great, the hotels amenities were as advertised, the staff was great, always helpful, gracious, and smiling. We were able to make use of all the amenities including, spa, pool, sauna, steam room, restaurant, beach towels, beach chairs, transportation to beach, business center. We will return often, we’d found this hotel much better for children without taking away from the adult experience, also the breakfast was just right

The spa is great. Breakfast is delicious. Board games for kids during rain and indoor warm pool. Memorable. We have stayed there 4 or 5 times!!
