Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center

The location of this hotel was good. Right on the beach, which is nice. There was very very poor monitoring of noise. There was doors slamming from 6am until after midnight. So many kids running up and down the halls as of they're playing hotel tag. Staff is walking around and never did or said anything about it. When i checked in, they alerted me off the quiet hours, which is not enforced at all. I wouldn't have paid so much money to stay here if i knew this was going to happen. I'm pregnant and i have a couple young children who still nap, none of us could rest. Every single time a neighbor opens and shuts their door, mine would shake and vibrate. There's such poor sound barriers.

Loved the views and location and the pool and restaurant but the staff couldn’t even bother to say hello when you come and go they pretend your invisible. The construction was unsafe for our child. Would give another chance in the future when construction is done.

We like this hotel for the easy beach and boardwalk access, the pool is a bonus. They are doing construction for the new life guard station. So you can only access the boardwalk on one side. The front desk members where proficient and welcoming. It is family friendly and looks like they gave it a bit of an update on decor. We enjoyed our stay, no frills just an easy stay with our kids. Like I mentioned before with easy beach access no need to drag around items and if you forget something in your room it is just a few steps away vs a block or so away.

The hotel is in a great location. You can stroll out right out the door to the boardwalk and its walkable to many of the attractions on the main drag. The pool is a nice asset especially with little kids. Breakfast in the hotel was good with many options and service was excellent. Our only complaint was the shower would sometimes change temperature. Others in our large family on other floors made similar complaints in their case about water pressure. I think their bathrooms were tired looking and need a refresh and the water issues need attending before I would come back.

Love the property location, it’s exactly what you want when you go to the beach. Love the restaurant downstairs and even though it’s a little dated, it’s great and perfect for families. Will def be back!

Weekend getaway for my wife and her friends. They enjoyed to proximity to beach and shopping- thoroughly enjoyed the tiki bar. The rooms could use a bit of an update. No recycling can in room. However look forward to taking the family next year

4 night stay. Pros: great view of the ocean Close to beach and boardwalk Temperature control in room Clean mattress Very clean bathroom Front desk staff was very pleasant Pool was great and connected to kiwis so they would serve you drinks at the pool Quiet during the night Cons Mattress was very firm (my lower back was not a fan but I know some people enjoy very firm) Musty odor of the room Air conditioner would make a loud crack noise when going off sometimes Walls are thin (could hear crying child or if people talked loudly pretty clearly) The vending machines did not work Temperature of the shower water would change to super hot every couple minutes or so and one night had no hot water in the shower Overall not a bad experience, nothing that made me need to address it or change rooms. The lady who cleaned our room was nice and efficient. May visit again. 7/10.

Perfect place for a family reunion of sorts. Enjoyed our stay.

The actual area it is in is safe, clean and lovely overall with great shopping and a family friendly beach. However this hotel was not at all soundproof, we could hear our neighbors and every step in the hall; there was no shower curtain in the bathroom; the front staff was not friendly at all and it did not feel well cleaned at all. Parking spaces are very tight. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay due to the area but I wouldn’t return to that specific hotel.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is literally steps to the boardwalk and the beach. That's about all the good things that can be said. The hotel is dated! Half of the hotel has been "updated"...but that was probably 25 years ago. The rooms are small and musty. Bathrooms were dated and superficially cleaned. The staff at the hotel is MISERABLE! They don't want to be there! The woman at the front desk during our stay might have been the most miserable person I have met in my life. Just saying good morning looked like a physically painful task for her. Throughout our stay there was drug use on the property, specifically around the pool where there were young children during our stay. When we asked in private if management could take care of it, the response was to tell us that our children were "rude and disrespectful" (imagine saying that to a parent of a 5 year old and 9 year old who never left our sight). When the staff member (finally) went out to look into the situation - they proceeded to chastise the 15-20 young kids in the pool about splashing, and not deal with the people smoking on the lounge chairs within 5 feet of the pool and children. The server (Olivia) at the restaurant attached to the hotel wound up being the daughter of the hotel GM. She told us to "get in line" when we asked her about our complaints. (She was very friendly, but clearly frustrated about the lack of management response to the issues).
