Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center

Love the property location, it’s exactly what you want when you go to the beach. Love the restaurant downstairs and even though it’s a little dated, it’s great and perfect for families. Will def be back!

Weekend getaway for my wife and her friends. They enjoyed to proximity to beach and shopping- thoroughly enjoyed the tiki bar. The rooms could use a bit of an update. No recycling can in room. However look forward to taking the family next year

4 night stay. Pros: great view of the ocean Close to beach and boardwalk Temperature control in room Clean mattress Very clean bathroom Front desk staff was very pleasant Pool was great and connected to kiwis so they would serve you drinks at the pool Quiet during the night Cons Mattress was very firm (my lower back was not a fan but I know some people enjoy very firm) Musty odor of the room Air conditioner would make a loud crack noise when going off sometimes Walls are thin (could hear crying child or if people talked loudly pretty clearly) The vending machines did not work Temperature of the shower water would change to super hot every couple minutes or so and one night had no hot water in the shower Overall not a bad experience, nothing that made me need to address it or change rooms. The lady who cleaned our room was nice and efficient. May visit again. 7/10.

The actual area it is in is safe, clean and lovely overall with great shopping and a family friendly beach. However this hotel was not at all soundproof, we could hear our neighbors and every step in the hall; there was no shower curtain in the bathroom; the front staff was not friendly at all and it did not feel well cleaned at all. Parking spaces are very tight. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay due to the area but I wouldn’t return to that specific hotel.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is literally steps to the boardwalk and the beach. That's about all the good things that can be said. The hotel is dated! Half of the hotel has been "updated"...but that was probably 25 years ago. The rooms are small and musty. Bathrooms were dated and superficially cleaned. The staff at the hotel is MISERABLE! They don't want to be there! The woman at the front desk during our stay might have been the most miserable person I have met in my life. Just saying good morning looked like a physically painful task for her. Throughout our stay there was drug use on the property, specifically around the pool where there were young children during our stay. When we asked in private if management could take care of it, the response was to tell us that our children were "rude and disrespectful" (imagine saying that to a parent of a 5 year old and 9 year old who never left our sight). When the staff member (finally) went out to look into the situation - they proceeded to chastise the 15-20 young kids in the pool about splashing, and not deal with the people smoking on the lounge chairs within 5 feet of the pool and children. The server (Olivia) at the restaurant attached to the hotel wound up being the daughter of the hotel GM. She told us to "get in line" when we asked her about our complaints. (She was very friendly, but clearly frustrated about the lack of management response to the issues).

Location is great, loved sitting on my full beach-view porch, the restaurant had good food & drinks & although inside our room in some spots could use renovations- we were not here for luxury but for family beach fun- so it was perfect for what my family wanted this year!

A lot of kids, being kids, staying there for baseball tournaments, but they were adequately/sufficiently controlled by the teams/parents. I would definitely stay there again. Nothing beats a balcony room facing the ocean one block from the main boulevard in Rehoboth.

We had a fantastic stay at the Atlantic Sands! We stayed for 3 nights in a queen suite with balcony/partial ocean view. Parking was so convenient, and it was nice to be able to arrive/park before check-in. Our room was even ready early and they called us when it was ready. Our room was clean and comfortable. This is a 3 star hotel and a perfect representation of such. Everything we needed, clean, comfortable, staff were very hospitable. The layout of the suite was perfect with our toddler - we were able to set up a separate sleeping space for him. We loved the location of the hotel and the convenience of accessing the beach, restaurants, shops, etc. The pool was perfect, too. Never too busy and clean! Our only negative, which doesn't even deserve to have points docked, is their food policy at the pool, and lack of consistency enforcing it. One day at the pool someone was walking around with food menus for their restaurant and serving pool-side. We had packed a lunch and were eating in the pool area, as were others. Another day, the outdoor restaurant service was not available, and we were told we were not allowed to eat our lunch in the pool area. Instead, we'd have to go out of the pool area to get food at the restaurant. This wasn't practical with small children, so we just walked out to the boardwalk to eat our lunch. Overall, we had a great stay and would absolutely return!

Loved that it was on board walk and beautiful view of ocean. Did not like that babies were allowed in pool still in diapers. Not sanitary.
