Four Points by Sheraton Newark Christiana Wilmington

We took a weekend trip to Delaware to visit family. Comfortable beds and wonderful breakfast. The only thing we had a problem with was there were teenagers running in the hallway screaming in which it interrupted my sleep, but I saw signs posted the next day addressing some of the issues.

Good stay; fit our needs as a family

We’ve stayed here several times when visiting family. We appreciate the close distance and convenience of nearby amenities; but for the last two stays we were greatly disappointed with the service and events that transpired. Our cleaning toiletry bag was stolen by staff. This is the second time things were stolen at this property. The A/C noise was intolerable and the bathroom was sub par. We were moved to a different room and it was fine the rest of the stay but we will not be going back in the future.

I saw bugs in my room and sitting area after I checked in and was relaxing watching TV with my family. I went to the receptionist and she send a staff to get the bugs out. The bed was old and the TV was off and on with service loading issues. I left the room for hours came back and it was not clean towel were not change by the housekeeping staff. However the receptionist at the front desk were very helpful.

This hotel is good and clean. Great customer service but the Hotel.com is my main issue. This is my first time of booking an hotel through hotel.com and my family was so embarrassed because we could not check in on time. Hotel.com did not forward my reservation to Four point to Sheraton. We were delayed for 1hr before it was sorted

Overall good. The room I requested was suppose to be 2,beds and a pull out bed, I arrived and they did not have that available. They ended up giving me a room to myself. Luckily my kids are old enough to stay alone

The overall hotel was messy from renovations. Hotel staff was very nice to me with no issues but were seen becoming annoyed or impatient with other guests. The sofa bed had any unbelievably disgusting stain and it was covered with a mattress pad. The overall room was appeared clean at first glance but there were nasty debris left from past guests (dropped food underbed, old food left in freezer, used tissues under bathroom sink, etc…). Then to top it off, renovations started in the rooms near us at 8 am on Saturday! It was loud hammering that penetrated my ear plugs and awoke my children and mom. Normally, we’re away by 8 but was here visiting family and really needed an extra hour. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights. But we ended up leaving after the first night. For a few extra dollars, you can stay at a brand new hotel overlooking Wilmington’s Waterfront (which was our 1st choice). Selected Four Points because it was closer to family, the Christiana Mall and UD. But I will not make that mistake again.
