J House Greenwich

We really enjoyed our stay at the J House. The hotel staff is friendly and the facility is very clean. You’ll see the staff cleaning throughout the day. Mopping and wiping down high touched surfaces. I also appreciate the continental breakfast starting at 6:30am on weekdays. We traveled with our toddler and he is up before the sun. There is a restaurant and coffee bar conveniently located in the lobby. They also offered snacks in the afternoon by the coffee bar. We spent most of our time at the pool. They had loungers, umbrellas, outdoor play area to keep my toddler busy and pool side food service. My only minimal complaint is the lawn mowers mowing outside by the pool area so all the debris and dust flew onto us as we were lounging by the pool. Overall a great stay. For dining options we drove about 12 minutes to Greenwich Ave where the options were endless.

This is NOT a luxury hotel. I was looking forward to a weekend with my family at a luxury hotel in Greenwich based on the reviews I read. This is not the case for this hotel. Pros: - Staff is nice - Room service was quick - Rooms were clean Cons: - Breakfast is a joke, very small and unhealthy options only - No privacy in the bathroom as it’s just separated by glass walls, no real door. If someone has to use the toilet the other person in the room will hear everything - Bed was saggy and we woke up with back pain - No kettle in room and didn’t receive one after calling reception 3 times I think this might a good place for young couples, but not for young families if you want to spend some relaxing time by the pool or use any of the other facilities
