Hyatt Regency Greenwich

I have been going to this hotel since at least the 1990s. They have renovated without losing the charm I remember from my childhood. I will be back soon.

We have stayed at the Hyatt Regency for several year while visiting family. While we only sleep and shower at the hotel, we have never been disappointed by the condition of our rooms or the customer service.

Did not disclose the whole property is under construction. Skid steer in hallway, main entrance is shut down, hard to navigate. Not worth the money in its current state.

Guest in the next room had a loud dog and noisy kids. It all quieted down by bedtime.

The pool and hot tub was the perfect temperatures. Traveling with children that is very important to us.

My family here every Christmas. It was a lovely all around

We had a dirty bathroom and waited an HOUR 40MIN for a baby crib. We had to call several times and finally found someone in the hall taking a crib to the wrong room. Our baby was tired and screaming for bed for 30 minutes. Horrible experience.

We arrived on 19th Sep for a four night stay. We are on a 12 day trip to our sons house in Old Greenwich. It’s the first time my wife has been able to travel across to the USA since Covid and a serious back operation. I thought I would treat her to a good hotel for part of our trip as it’s been so long since our last journey abroad. I chose what I thought was a high quality hotel where we could relax and yet still be close to our family just across town. Fine dining and a good well stocked and serviced bar was my thinking. How disappointed then to find a wonderful looking hotel with a completely unacceptable level of service and amenities. No bar, no shop and no restaurant just a converted shop with IKEA garage shelving acting as a snack bar / canned bar. Food ordered through QR code arriving on plastic plates for all services. Having said that all staff were excellent. Wine in cans beer in cans, Turkey or peanut butter sandwiches Then being told the renovations to public area and rooms start from January 2024! They are blaming COVID but I have to say they are selling the hotel under false information.The hotel experience for us is about good drink and service in outstanding surroundings with good attentive staff and mixing with other guests. At present the Hyatt can not give that experience and we would have been better off staying the whole 12 days with our family in Old Greenwich such a shame as the hotel when in full operation would be great in18months

Staff was wonderful: it seems hall monitors are needed since no one was able to keep their children quiet. It was beyond absurd and I fault hotel Leadership for not monitoring the comfort of other guests in favor of potentially angering parents . Kids literally screaming at the tops of their lungs at 9:00 at night and so technically not in violation of the posted 11-7 “quiet hours. Kids shrieking again at 7:15 in the am…one child knocked on my door thinking it was his room Horrible : intend to never stay there again for any reason. Was scouting that property for a future Family reunion but will never stay at a property where Leadership is so inattentive. I’m still furious

No restaurant……family rental car got hit while we slept…..house keeping did not clean the room until the 3rd day….. I was quoted $179 per night but after I checked out it was $199 per night…with no amenities to access
