My family and I checked into the Marriott hotel on 4/20/24 during our college visits in the area, drawn by its reputation. However, we were disappointed by the property's appearance and maintenance. The dilapidated sign outside was a letdown, despite the beautiful lobby and restaurant. The elevators seemed unsafe, so we reluctantly used them. The hallways leading to our room were marked with skuff marks and garbage, lacking the elegance of the lobby. Inside, the room had wall scuffs, furniture stains, and a dirty bedskirt, there were stains on the wall in the bathroom area, the tub filled with water when showering and the bed was terrible. Far below the quality we anticipated from Marriott.

We stayed for 1 quick stop at night as a family and we enjoyed our time there. The staff was welcoming and professional. Hotel and bedrooms a bit dated. Breakfast space and entrance were very nice. We went to the pool and had a good time there the only downside was that they put some products and started the cleaning while we were in the pool that I found surprising and not great they should have done it before opening hours or ask us to evacuate for 15min while they proceeded.

It was fantastic and amazing. The service and workers were welcoming and helpful. Would recommend a friend or family to stay here

This is a nicely renovated, older hotel with comfy beds and a great pool and hot tub! Convenient for us to visit Trumbull family.

The outdoor pool was great for our family . The staff was terrific !

I like that you have a in door and out door pool plus hot tub but have to tell the guest with babies to put the baby diapers in the garbage after taking them off

We checked in during some family reunion. I specifically asked for a floor that was quiet. I get people excited to see each other after a long time...But after a certain hour, take it to your rooms or downstairs in the lounge/bar areas. These folks just hung out in the hallways, talking so loud and loud laughing...No consideration for others staying in the hotel. When we got back fromTrumble Day (our reason for the visit) two people were sitting on a bench in the very front of the hotel smoking weed. Again, don't care what others do, but have some respect for those who don't smoke and have children. My daughter who is 7 had to walk by them to get into the hotel. since they were sitting in the front of the hotel right by the entrance. The front desk woman offered me some points for the trouble but I don't think I really got anything. So it was just a less than average stay...Nothing exciting. The breakfast experience was just as bad. Since the Reunion folks took over the food, the staff were extremely overwhelmed. The food was under cooked so I just stuck with some fruit. Not worth the price I prepaid. If I have to stay here again, I'll be sure not to bother with the breakfast offerings and just go somewhere else in the area.

My husband and i wanted to relax and get away for the weekend and we wanted to go swimming! I was Very Disappointed to find out that the pool was being used for a birthday partyfor at least 15 children and there was NO Room for anyone else! It would have been nice to know this was going on for the Entire night and next morning!!

Nice place to stay just as a couple or with the family.
