Sandhill Inn & Suites

So this hotel is getting renovated which was not bad, a little messy in the hallways but understandable. Check in/out staff were super nice. Our issues were #1 all decaf coffee in the room, #2 the metal bed frame wrapped around the beds and was really loud and hard not to bump into #3 the shower floor was sooo slippery our kid slipped twice and we’ve never had that issue before in showers. Not bad for a place to sleep though, just not our favorite.

I arrived after a long day with 3 kids in the car. They were really excited to swim in the indoor pool. But when we checked in and asked about the pool hours the guy told me it was closed. I picked this hotel because it had the indoor pool. And an email about it being closed would have been nice.

The bathroom was extremely disappointing with a detached faucet and it looked very dirty. I wasn’t about to shower in there nor allow my child to take a bath in that tub. Also they did not advertise the pool is leaking so it’s been drained. We booked this hotel mainly to have pool access on our quick get away.

Checked into the room and the first thing I look at is the bed it looks like somebody had slept in it there was a dirty diaper from a child in the trashcan there was hair on the bed and when I pulled the blankets back you can see the dirty bed I got the manager and walk-through And showed him The Hair the dirty bed also there was crumbs all over the floor visible large crumbs boogers on the wall so I took the blankets off the bunkbeds and the king-size beds so that way they will not be reused again they did fix it but have to having to go through all that when the room should be ready to go for customers is not acceptable not professional. Also with Covid still lingering it is very uncomfortable to see this knowing that you could be sleeping on somebody else’s germs body fluids etc. I can guarantee you they didn’t wipe down Wall plates where you turn on and off the lights doorhandles if they’re not going to throw the trash that’s visible right there or fix the bed put new sheets or clean the big crumbs it was rather disrespectful to the people that trust their cleanliness and safety in the hands of Sandhill or any other hotel. I asked for another room but they did not have any room available to switch to they did clean the sheets and put new sheeting and vacuumed and fix the problem while we were gone out.
