Hampton Inn Denver West Federal Center

We went for a family reunion just 2 1/2 miles away. Only minus was bathroom layout. Bathroom is spacious but there is nowhere to put your toiletries. A double counter bar sink fixture would be the fix.

The room was lovely and exactly what I needed for my family. Service was terrible. Our flight was delayed and we did not arrive until after midnight. I tried to call as soon as we landed at 10:30 and the phone rang and rang. I tried again en route and the phone rang and rang. We arrived at the facility with a notice that for safety, the door was locked and to pick up the phone that would ring the front desk I did so, and the phone rang and rang. It was not until I knocked hard on the glass did someone wonder up from the back to assist me. Extremely frustrating after a frustrating day of travel.

Loved the split bedrooms design for family of 4. Another bathroom would be nice-but definitely doable! King size bed wasn’t very comfortable-not soft enough. Otherwise a nice place to stay!!

Man at front desk would not let me check in. Said it had to be my husband since his name was on the account. I’ve never had this happen before. He took my drivers license and looked at it after he acknowledged I couldn’t check in. Then he said since I booked through a third party he couldn’t check my address and check me in. So why did he ask for my license?? I had to go get my husband who was trying to find parking which is not convenient at this location. He then checked us in. Hotel was very outdated. Mattress pads were very recently stained and stains showed through sheets. We booked a suite so our adult children would be close but it was humiliating to ask them to sleep in such gross conditions. I was very embarrassed that I booked this hotel. They did have quite a variety of breakfast options but unfortunately temperature of food was not good. What should be hot was barely warm and yogurt in refrigerator was room temperature.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay near Red Rocks and Denver. Front desk staff were very polite and friendly. My daughter enjoyed the pool one evening and my whole family enjoyed the breakfast each morning of our stay.

We picked this hotel for the proximity to family. No frills. Easy parking. We had a double Queen room. Only issue was there was only one chair in the room which was for the desk. Would be nice if another chair was added. Breakfast was not to our healthy needs so with the refrigerator and microwave, we bought groceries. Staff was helpful. Beds were comfortable. Price was great.
