Holiday Inn Express & Suites Colorado Springs AFA Northgate, an IHG Hotel

It looks nice on the outside and is located in a good area. The front workers had their kids in the back room so it was hard to get find someone to check us in. We booked the queen suite and were disappointed to find that the couch was broken so we were unable to pull out and use that bed. The shower drain in our room was also broken. We called the front desk about the couch and drain. They said no maintenance was available and there was nothing they could do. We were able to use a fork from the breakfast area to keep the drain open. There are other hotels in this area that we will choose instead of this hotel on our next trip.

Our family liked everything about this property! We are family of six and the one bedroom suite was a hit for our family. Not to mention the kids loved that their are 3 TV's in the suite. The staff was amazing and very helpful!

Woman working at front desk was amazing and super friendly! Rooms are nice and clean. Very safe place and family-friendly! Great breakfast and awesome pool and hot tub. 10/10 would stay again!

Unfortunately, the pool and hot tub were "closed indefinitely" when we arrived. I understand things happen, but it would have been highly appreciated if a reduced rate was offered due to us not receiving the full services we were expecting with our booking. One of the primary reasons we brought our whole family for 2 nights was to be able to take advantage of the pool during downtime so we were highly disappointed it was closed and there did not seem to be any concern over a key feature being absent from our stay. The other major issue was the horrendous smell of our room. It overwhelmingly smelled like hot baked, wet gym socks from the moment we stepped in until we left. We tried room spray and other air freshening products but nothing helped. Never could identify a source. It was pervasive throughout. Aside from those issues, the staff was friendly and it otherwise would have been a fabulous place to stay. Good location, generally clean, good gathering areas (especially had the pool been open), nice breakfast, and friendly staff.

Rooms are spacious, beds and pillows are very comfortable, enjoyed having the Keurig, microwave, and fridge in room. The hot breakfast had a good variety. The hotel was clean and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, a great central location and so many restaurants, shops, and entertainment in the area. I come to the area to visit family a couple of times a year and would highly recommend this location.

The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have used. It was hard to get out of bed. The food was not really hot and didnt have mich flavor. There was a large variety of food tho, so we made it work. Hotel is very clean and nice. Will refer to friends and family

It was clean and a great location. The breakfast was nice too. Lots of choices and made our family of 4 happy.

We stayed in the family suite and really enjoyed our stay. The room was great! Wish all Hotels had a family suite like the one we stayed in. We will stay here again next time we are in town.
