I have mixed reviews in this hotel. Let me start off with the positives-
It was very clean, beds were comfy, property was nice and location was great. The staff later found an item we left behind and mailed it to me (I paid for shipping) so that was very nice.
Negatives- upon check in I was charged more than what was stated on my hotels.com statement (they later credited me back after I contacted hotels.com), the lady at the front desk advised us that if you have kids it’s “better” to stay at the hotel down the street. All of the rooms are located on the inside, so you must enter the lobby to get to your room - they dimmed the hall lights at 8:15-8:30pm and if you made any noise the lady from the front desk stands in the hallway and lets you know any noise is unacceptable. We had 3 rooms and walking from one to another was considered disrupting.
Takeaway: Don’t stay here if you have children or like to stay up past 8pm. This would be a good place for older couples, but not families. It is very close to moonstone beach which is convenient.

This place is very nice. However the front desk person was rude to the family before us and then us. She did not want to seem to help us especially since we booked through Expedia. When she talks she is very condescending. It’s too bad because I would have love to come back and stay here longer.

We loved our room with a view of the ocean. The breakfast burritos provided were great. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our family and friends.

Kathleen, Calle, and the rest of the staff at the Sand Pebble made us feel right at home. We took a family vacation and reserved 2 rooms for a night. One of the rooms faced the ocean for a beautiful view while enjoying the simple yet appetizing breakfast that was provided. Will definitely be coming back and staying here next time we are in Cambria!

We loved staying at the Sand Pebbles. It's adorable and reminded me of my summer trips to the beach as a child. The bed was very comfortable. We had an oceanfront room which was great. The staff was friendly and responsive. Lupe was particularly helpful. Our rental car broke down twice while we were there and they let us keep our things in the office the day of checkout when we had to retrieve it from the Hearst Castle parking lot and take it to be repaired.

Such a charming little hotel! Stayed as a family of 4. Between the fun little breakfast to the considerate detail of a squeegee and rags for dirty windshields, the human touch was greatly appreciated.

Location is perfect, a beautiful location. My family throughly enjoyed it. One thing to note is that it can get very windy in June also and good to have some warm clothings.
Would certainly visit again

This was the 1st stop of a week long Central Coast vacation and Cambria is always a must. People are very friendly and if you're looking for beauty and small town feel you found it.
Tried eating someplace new, Moonstone Bar and Grill and that worked out for the kids. Our waiter was very kind and even though I know they offer a free ice cream scoop "if the kids have been good" I said I would pay for dessert and got them a chocolate sundae instead....and still got it free. 😊
Had dinner at Linn's for the first time and were happily surprised. My hubby loved his steak...cooked perfectly! It's still a winner for breakfast and we stop in every single time we're there.
Sand Pebbles was a perfect little spot and just a hop across the highway to town. Hearing the actual ocean as you go to sleep is just so nice. The walkway above the beach is great exercise after a meal and stretches quite a way. The kids absolutely loved their "adventure walk," going to the park and walking around the beach. A bit cold this time (even end of June!) so no actual beach time, but it was still a great time.
A heated pool would have been wonderful, but I would still stay again....and we will be back again next year (after Disney World!). 😉

We stayed for a night with my family that includes 2 kids 12 and 9. Rooms were very comfortable, the only issue was they were a bit warm. I had the ceiling fan on and the windows open but it was still a bit warm. I asked for another fan but the inn did not have one, which surprised me. Breakfast was excellent and the Inn is right across the beach. We had a partial view of the ocean and walked the beach in the evening.
