Best Western Americana Inn

After getting in much later than expected from the border, we were too beat to make the 4 hour trip home. I quickly booked the best reviewed hotel i could find. I expected a comfortable stay, but i did not expect the level of cleanliness and confort we recieved with this hotel. The rooms and property are gorgeously designed, with close attention to detail. The basic 2 bed room was spacious, and the BEDS!! Those are the most comfortable beds i have slept in. Also, you are not getting the typical, deflated pillows you get with other hotels. These pillows are thick, supportive, and insanely comfortable. Plus, you just cant beat the free hot breakfast and amazing customer service. As a family of 3 with a young child, we definitely would stay again.

Staff were incredibly nice. Clean room, quiet, and easy 25-minute drive to San Diago Airport, downtown and Sea World. Parking and breakfast were included. All you need is to let the staff know to clean your room and change towels daily before you leave the hotel every morning, otherwise you be unhappy. We did stay 3 nights with family from July 26 to July 29, no issues. Thank you for all you did for us in these 3 days.

A heart attack in the family caused us to cancel our stay. We were hoping for a credit to stay another day but they were rigid in their no cancel policy...they had no heart!

Very comfortable & breakfast was good!!!! Went for a little 3 day vacation very close to Sesame Street & sea world ! My kids enjoyed themselves.

Place is outdated, needs a remodel as the rooms still have the infamous popcorn ceiling. My bed’s back board was dirty, some sort liquid spill and never got clean, it seem sticky, maybe OJ? Found a big black spider on the roof as we were getting ready to check out. I forgot to let the front desk know as she was on the phone with another costumer. Breakfast was a big surprise, everything was fresh and tasty except for the bacon and eggs, but I think it’s hard to find good scrambled eggs at a hotel. They had fresh waffles, which my kids said were better than mine. Biscuits were so good, I haven’t had a good biscuit like that in so long. My husband said the gravy was good too, I’ll have to take his word for it. We only stay for the night and overall I guess it was an okay stay. Staff members did question my husband when getting breakfast, but I think that’s because we all didn’t go down for breakfast and they kept going back and forth to get everything and eat in the room.

My family couldn`t get sleep due to all the noise from the neighbor room, loud voice and TV sound. Body wash bottle was empty and lack of amenities. Very limited food for breakfast.

All good, this place is one of the best to stay with family. Staff very well trained and professional. Just wish the breakfast buffet would be open a bit longer. Being on vacation, you wake up late and find out the breakfast is done...maybe longer hours for brunch while we are there, especially on holidays. Thank you.

Very comfy for a night stay. Beds very comfortable. Affordable day for a small family. Would recommend.

Surprisingly quaint. Our room was clean and it had all the basic necessities one can need. We were on the second floor but near the stairs so getting my toddler, infant, and luggages up and down were a bit challenging. There might've been an elevator somewhere but I gave up looking since there were three separate buildings. I wish they would've accounted for the fact we had young children and reserved a first floor room. The area around the location was questionable during weekends. At night, a few guests smoked weed and had get togethers in the parking lot and the balcony. The neighboring apartment complex had a loud party one night. Some staff were friendly but most just went about their day. The outside was kept clean and aesthetically pleasing. A few choice dining options if you're not into gourmet cooking- Coco's, Carls Jr., Arco. If you're not looking for a resort hotel and just need a place to sleep/eat/shower so you can go about your vacation plans or work plans for the duration of your stay, this is the place to be. Price hikes on weekends are a bit steep for what they're offering but frankly, I have looked and they are one of a handful that offered the lowest. Overall, if you do your part being a responsible guest, mind your own business, and remain cordial with others, you're in the right place. But if you're looking for hotel extraordinaire and willing to pay hundreds more, then you are more than welcome to look for what suits you best.

Staff was super super helpful They clean the pool daily, they keep everything clean, ive also seen them sanitize the exterior doors and AC's. Breakfast was great helps families save money during thier vacation.
