Omni La Costa Resort & Spa

Great place but lots of kids pools and not enough adult ones.I had to pay for spa to get away from kids at the pool. Spa was great they have an outdoor massage waterjet that was amazing but no pool just a small dunking pool size of large jacuzzi. Massage therapist was not very experienced the water jet was way better.

Loved the pool options, food, villa rooms. The service was 10/10 all around!! I was underwhelmed by the phone communication - it was impossible to connect with anyone just calling in. Mold on slides in the kids pool could have used a clean.

We were unable to check-in until 2 hours past check-in time. We were given a room at the end of the property which was a 15 min walk to the lobby/gym with very little parking, adult pool. Property is geared towards family and kids. Room had blood stained carpet and bugs. Adult pool umbrellas were full of mold (on the inside). The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Staff is nice. They need to up their game if they want to be a world class resort.

Great for families with little kids!

Best hotel ever. Kids rode the water slide for 5 straight hours. Well worth the price. Perfect for families.

We paid for a suite 2 nights, $1,200 a night on the advertised basis that all the suites had been newly renovated. The suite they gave us was not renovated. Microwave was falling apart carpeting was old and dirty, appliances and cabinets were dated and way over worn. Tried to go to a better hotel within first 20 min but they said we would have to go through Expedia since we already paid in full. We planned on leaving the next morning. The next morning I noticed they charged my card $989!! (We had already paid in full through Expedia!!). Called the front desk, got a really nice lady, she said that charge was an “accident”. She convinced us to stay and got us a new 2 bedroom suite that had really been renovated and was up to proper standards. Pool was nice for the kids. Got a cabana but the trashes around the pools always seemed to be overflowing with trash. Over all we had a good time. Just be careful on the suite you get. I guess they are all privately owned, not through Omni, so they encourage owners to renovate but can’t make them. Good luck!

A must stay if you have little ones!

For a water activity hotel, this place is actually disgusting. There is legitimately mold, and green fungus growing on the steps of the slide. There is yellow and green algae growing in the pool. Omni is known for being a family friendly hotel, which means there's a lot of kids. The cleanliness, and upkeep of the pool is disgusting ! I have plenty of pictures of the fungus growing.

Great service, with one exception at our initial seating in the bar where it took too long for our server to acknowledge us and take our order. Amazing team on both shifts for the front desk and Kidtopia. Awesome family pools and water slide options. Delicious food, reasonable value. Cocktails are a bit pricey. Did not get a chance to golf this time, but the course looks to be in great shape.

Great place for a family. I with the arcade was a bit bigger and more games.
