The Twist Palm Springs

Overall enjoyed our stay at The Twist and think it’s a good pick for the price. Very convenient location, easy parking, very nice staff, and having the kitchenette with small children is ideal. I would just caution guests who are sensitive sleepers to make sure you don’t get booked in the rooms above the bar. Th music thumps through the rooms well into the night. I was able to move rooms once I found this out, but that might not be an option if they are fully booked.

This place is AMAZING! We were supposed to be at Hyatt for the weekend, but Hyatt had the dirtiest rooms. I had been a Hyatt member for just under a decade. In the middle of the night, with a toddler, we booked Twist that was nearby. And what a difference that made. Twist is super clean, spacious, gorgeous views and they have the best staff. Linda was so accommodating and I can attest they were the reason our stay was so comfortable. They are accessible through phone text, so don't have to wait in phone lines for long. Location is impeccable - walkable to everything. Highly recommend Twist.

The room’s aesthetic and vibe was terrifically weird and wonderful. I sent pictures to friends and family showing what a great job the decorators did. In practical terms, the bathroom had some drawbacks -there is no place to hang clothes, wet towels, etc. -shelf space in the bathroom is non-existent- I’m fairly low-maintenance: razor, comb, deodorant are all I need, and there was no place to put them -the walk-in shower, while spacious enough for a big guy like me (I’m usually cramped in hotel showers), allowed water to splash on the floor, even beyond the quickly-soaked bathmat, rendering the floor slippery and unsafe. My biggest problem with the property was that I specifically chose it because it is listed as having an airport shuttle, and I didn’t want to have to arrange for ground transportation during my brief stay in Palm Springs. When I contacted the property after making my reservation, I was told that I would have to specifically reserve the shuttle and that it would cost $15. However, when I emailed the hotel, attempting to reserve the shuttle, I never received a response. When I called the hotel prior to my arrival, I was finally informed that there was no shuttle at all, and I would have to arrange my own transportation from the airport to the hotel. Obtaining an Uber from the airport was problematic at 10:00 pm. They charge a ridiculous “resort fee” but the place is not a resort. It has a tiny pool, a child sized putting green, no restaurant.

Cute little property with nice, accommodating staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, with a great attitude. Would happily recommend to friends. My only suggestions would be to add more shade so guests can enjoy the outdoor area during the day and dead bolts on the doors. There was no way from keeping my toddlers from leaving the room.
