The pool was good, the rooms were roomy enough for a family of five with a fold out chair. The pool ran out of towels, there was only one tiny trash can, had to ask for new towels and they don’t change the sheets unless you stay for a week or more. The walk to Disneyland was short

We stayed for 3 nights, it was close to Disneyland which is why we chose this hotel. On our third night, I had asked for room service while my family and I went to the park. When we came back to the hotel, we had found out that money had been stolen. My grandma had 100 dollars taken from her wallet inside her purse, and she had put the purse handles inside the bag before she left. Coming back to the room, the purse handles were outside of the bag. My mother had her bag INSIDE her luggage, where she had 45 dollars taken from her. The way that had checked inside the luggage’s for money, is honestly a disturbance of our stuff and disheartening since we didn’t feel any safe to stay there anymore. We left our number with them, and still haven’t a call back. We will not be coming back.

We stayed at the Tropicana for four nights. It is not a high-end hotel, yet we knew that when we booked. We chose the Tropicana because of its location and it did not disappoint. Disneyland is right across the street and is a very short walk. Our room was clean, yet pretty tight. Next time we plan to book a family suite. Housekeeping took out our trash, made sure we had enough toilet paper, and replaced our towels each day. Our beds were not the best we have slept on when traveling, yet they were acceptable. We had a maintenance issue our third night due to a malfunction of the bathroom mirror electrical. It created a strong smell. Maintenance came to our room right away, replaced the electrical, and cleaned up everything. Soon after the front desk called to ensure it was fixed to our satisfaction and offered to move us to another room if not. While there we enjoyed the pool and watching the Disneyland fireworks at night from the hotel. Self parking was very limited with no open spaces, yet valet parking was complimentary and easy to use.

For an older hotel, is was very clean! Room service daily consisted of only the necessities….emptied trash, replenished towels. Which was all we needed. The beds seemed more like doubles instead of queens. As a family of four with 2 tall teenagers we utilized the pull out chair that turns into a bed. We had a room on the 3rd floor which gives a great view of the 9:30pm firework show if you’re not in the park! They let us check in early at 2pm. Parking is limited so we unloaded then used the valet to let them park our half ton truck…valet was part of the parking charge. Overall a clean safe place to sleep and a short walk to the park entrances.

This was a great place for us to stay for our Disney vacation. We walked straight across the road and were in the park fast. The staff was great and super friendly no matter what time of day we went to the desk. The rooms were refreshed everyday and clean. The pool was closed for maintenance while we were there (May 2024) but we could go the neighboring property. There is a little convenience store on the property which made it easy for our daughter to get milk for our grandbaby. Great place to stay.

Super close to Disneyland, when people walk by your room you can hear but we didn’t mind it. It was good for our trip. We look forward to coming back as we have little kids and this is perfect there is a fee for parking but valet is included in that fee, it’s about 50 to 55 for parking self or valet we used the valet as it’s included in the parking fee so it was easy. Honestly I don’t think you can find something close to Disney and have a good stay like Tropicana. Keep in mind it’s for the convenience of being close to Disney

Property was great for us to stay at with a baby across from Disney. Our room was on the complete opposite side of elevators which made it difficult with all the gear that comes with having a baby.

It was my family’s first time staying at the Tropicana for our Disney vacation. The rooms are clean but outdated and smelt weird. The towels gave everyone an itchy rash and learned it was due to the heavy amount of detergent or Clorox that was used on the towels. On our first night, the smoke alarm was dying and we woke up around 2-3am to the annoying beeps of the smoke alarm. In the morning, I told the front desk and they had someone come in and change the battery. I asked front desk for fresh set of towels and more toiletries, and we only got the towels, no toiletries. There was a pull out single bed in our room that was absolutely uncomfortable and no cushion for a nice rest.
Overall, the hotel is cute but definitely needs improvements. I’d recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting Disneyland as it is conveniently located right across the street.

The kids had a great time in the pool, and we enjoyed the hot tub, after a long day a Disneyland. Will be back!

GOOD: 1.The Tropicana is approximately 10-15 minute walk to the Disneyland and California Adventure ticket booths, including passing through Security, provided you arrive early or during non-peak times. 2. Room: very clean, bed VERY comfortable, and had convenient fridge (no freezer), coffee maker, and microwave. (Just to be clear: no breakfast served at this hotel.) 3. The hotel will hold your luggage after check-out until you leave to go home. CONS: 1. The ONLY towel rack and robe hook are in the separate toilet and shower/tub room (no towel racks or hooks in the sink area!). So after washing your hands or face, you have to get a towel from the toilet room? Weird. 2. The only reading lamps “near” the bed were ceiling-mounted lights (slightly dimmable) that created glare when I looked away from my book (if a second person wanted to sleep while the first person reads….YIKES!). 3. I could plainly hear the people talking and (little kids) screaming as they walked past my room (at all times of the day and late into the evening). AND I also clearly heard the obnoxiously loud and insulting evangelical person standing about 200 feet away (using a BIG speaker) starting at 7:30 am. The gaps between the room door and the frame are clearly visible and transmit sound. A simple fix: add weather-stripping/caulking around the door, which would also allow the AC/heater to work more efficiently. 4. The sink portion of the bathroom cannot be shut off from the main part of the room.
