Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground

The pool was nice but strict and rude. You have to have a wristband to use the pool. If you lost a wristband they refuse to replace it. No wristband and they refuse admission to the pool even with ID and room key. I also witnessed a lifeguard being extremely rude and insensitive to a family with a child that had autism. It really made the entire stay unwelcoming.

I liked how close (5min) walk to Disney and my kids loved the water park and beds were comfy. Parking wasn’t bad but you do have to pay. Even though they told me there was no deposit, when I got there it was a very small deposit ($20). Evelyn was so nice and we were able to check in an hour early which was nice! Our hotel was in building 3 and it looked old. Carpet was dirty. Our bathroom looked old and had a weird smell. Dresser was dirty. Hotel needs an upgrade.

This is a fantastic hotel for families who want quick access to Disneyland. We booked a family suite with a king-sized bed and bunk beds for our two kids, which turned out to be essentially two hotel rooms that are connected. The kids got their own separate bathroom, which was great. We spent a day playing at the pool, where they had life guards posted to watch out for kid safety. They also have a store with basic necessities (like goggles, if your kid forgot theirs!) The hotel itself is fairly dated. When we got there, the microwave, fridge, and coffee maker were not getting power and we had to call the front desk. They responded quickly and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. While there is an AC, it is not super robust - the lowest you can set it is 65 and it definitely never actually cools to that temperature. We set it to 69 when we slept but one morning we woke up at 5:45 because it had stopped working and we were sweating at 75 degrees. It seemed to come back on at around 8 AM. Not sure what that was about, but we definitely had one very sleep-deprived day in Disneyland. Overall, for the price and location plus the family suite, this place was a great deal and we would go there again.

Very clean, cute, and accommodating. The staff was very friendly. The rooms seemed very quiet! For a hotel with children and families staying in it, that was awesome and made for a great night’s sleep. Hoping to come back September!

In the row of hotel options right across the street from Disneyland, it was tough to choose which one looked best online. But I'm so glad we picked the Howard Johnson! Our room was spacious, clean, cute (loved the pirates of the Caribbean theme), and the kids loved the bunk beds. The water park was the best way to cool off on summer afternoons after time spent at the theme parks. We'll be coming back another time for sure!

This was our first time taking our kids to Disneyland and we wanted a hotel with a nice pool and walking distance to Disney. This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. The staff was excellent and we never had an issue. We would stay here again.

We have grandkids so the water park is a plus. Staff go above and beyond to meet our expectations. Very accommodating. We also like the value compared to other hotels in the area which we visit Disneyland three to four time a year so we have tried most hotels and this is our favorite. We will be back.

It was a perfect family friendly hotel the kids loved it and a not a far walk to the parks

Great spot, just a short walk to Downtown Disney/disneyland. The water park was a hit with the kids. The room was clean and a good size. Only downfall was the highway traffic noise, however not a deal Breaker
