This property has some positives and negatives. First the positives: the rooms are clean and fairly updated. The pool is a hidden gem! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but once you are in the pool area, it feels like you are on the Tuscan countryside with lovely cypress trees and greenery surrounding it. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves, so we really enjoyed it. The negatives: The air conditioning/heating system is so loud, and it never turns off. For some reason, despite the unit reaching temperature, it always kicked back on and was extremely loud. This was very disruptive to sleep. Our kids even complained about it, and they sleep like rocks. Another negative is the location. While the hotel is convenient to the highway, it is not walking distance to downtown Napa, which we were aware of when booking. However, because we were not familiar with Napa we thought it was inconsequential. It was not. If you want the Napa feel/have walking access, stay in downtown Napa or stay in one of the little towns nearby (Yountville or Calistoga).

Overall our stay was good for the price. I stayed here because I am a loyal BonVoy member. Rooms: It seems like the room is only partially updated and some repairs were poorly done. Bathroom: Again, partially updated. The sliding door was very heavy so be careful as I nearly tore off my nails. The sink and mirror seem updated but the floor and baseboards were old and appeared dirty. In the shower, the faucet knob kept falling off .. it was quite heavy so we had to be cautious in the shower. Restaurant: breakfast selection was good. But dinner and evening snacks limited. After a day of drinking wine, we found ourselves walking to the nearest fast food place. Happy hour M-F (4-6pm) - great deals and snacks that would have also liked available from 9-11pm for example. Wine hour 5-6pm: complimentary in the lobby which was very nice. S’mores from 6-7pm: we didn’t do this but great if you have kids or a sweet tooth. Pool: We enjoyed the pool and never had an issue getting a spot. There were lots of areas with shade. Drinks and pool side snacks are also available. The courtyards were fun.. cool activities to keep you busy with fire tables. Staff: we had mixed experience on this. We had good experience for the most part but restaurant staff and servers were not friendly on a few occasions. Overall it was a good visit. While the hotel was full, it didn’t feel crowded. Compared to other BonVoys I would give it a 3.5/5 stars
