Overall it’s a lovely place. It seems to be tailored for older people without families. It would be perfect to come back by myself without my family. Or for a couple to come that is health-conscious. Our son enjoyed seeing the horses, donkeys, llamas. And we enjoyed being able to have our dog on the property. There are a few strange things that we experienced. For example, they seemed strict about having reservations for the restaurant but when we ate there hardly anyone was there. Also on Saturday night there was atalented pianist playing serious Avant garde, moody music. It seems like the place could be lightened up a little as I saw a few families there with kids. Also the hostess on Saturday evening at the Ravens restaurant was rude and unwelcoming. She looked at us and asked if we had a reservation and we said that we did and we apologized for being five minutes late and she looked at her book and said yes, you are late. It just seems like a family owned inn would be more warm and welcoming than that. There was no smile or her saying welcome. Also, the vegan restaurant menu was delicious. I would ask the owners to consider that there are a lot of people with autoimmune diseases today- autoimmune diagnoses are at an all-time high now. This means that many people now have food allergies for which gluten, beans, and soy are unhealthy. Overall, the property is lovely. We enjoyed the gardens and the farm aspect. And the other patrons were quiet and kind.
