Staff was nice but it could of been cleaner. We had ants in the room. Patio and pool was nice and it is a family friendly place.

This property has a the feel of summer camp amidst the the gorgeous fir, palm and oak trees. The pool was great for a dip on warm afternoons. Although somewhat dated it very true to its old style. It was comfortable and clean and the staff was wonderful. Hearing the high school kids practicing sports next door was more nostalgic than noisy.

If you’re looking for a very new hotel, this is not it. However, this is a classic silicone valley early days hotel beautiful grounds great location great price and unlike new hotels, you can actually open the windows - most rooms have sliding glass doors with patios, which I really like. Bathrooms are small with cramped shower stalls but here again it’s a really cool property with a lot of character - for example, I picked some loquats apricots and oranges on property! Great for a business traveler during the week like myself when no kids are around because the walls are thin so it would be tough if there are families traveling here. Los Gatos Lodge please bring back the chef you had before Covid!!

An old fashioned hotel that reminds me of the eastcoast's family summer camps. Comfortable & safe. Windows open! Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is close to downtown Los Gatos, which offers amazing food options. The walk itself is and lovely. Breakfast is pretty much a no-go, but so what. We will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Super comfortable place, was great to wake up to birds chirping after staying in many other noisy hotels. I found the lodge to be quiet and sweet, lots of green and trees and a super friendly and attentive bartender who served my family and I at the grill.

Great place with the kids- we had a suite so sleeping arrangements were convenient and they loved walking around the grounds.

It’s an older hotel but they do a pretty good job of keeping on top of things. But it is SOOO peaceful and serene, we continue to return there when we come back to San Jose to visit family.

Our toilet overflowed each morning we were there. We were not offered a new room after the first incident and our family had to use the toilet in the lobby which was quite a walk distance from our motel room. With grammar school- aged grandchildren this was, needless to say, a major inconvenience and a health hazard!

The Los Gatos Lodge was our go to hotel for years ever since we moved from San Jose to Ohio I frequent it for business and family visits. It was so convenient. The amenities, room condition, plumbing electrical, and lack of a hot breakfast force me to go to another hotel. The price on this trip increased significantly. Staff was courteous.Disappoined and think it is up for sale.

The check in process was simple and easy. The map of the Lodge was impossible to read. We were running late so we just dropped everything off in our room and left. When we came back late that evening the only lights that worked were the bathroom lights. We looked for other light switches but didn’t find any. The only other light we could find was one lamp between the beds. Tried turning it on at its switch. It didn’t work. I am night blind so I couldn’t see anything. The room was very dark and except the bathroom areas. We called the front desk to ask for help and in the end was told we had to wait till morning for help! We fumbled around and went to bed. When we checked out I complained and asked for a credit at the front desk. I was told they believed me BUT it had to be checked out. A manager would call me about the problem. The manager called me within 15-20 minutes. He told me the lamp was unplugged and all we had to do was plug it in. Gee it was dark! Late! And why was it unplugged to start with! He didn’t feel it was really a problem! We should have checked the plug! He eventually gave me a lousy $20 cred. He said I would get an email immediately about the credit. I never got the email. My credit cards was charged $20 less for my one night. The place is beautiful and could be family friendly. Housekeeping, maintenance and management are TERRIBLE!!!
