Hotel Erwin

The hotel is advertised as kid friendly. It’s is… kind of. Very loud at night. Our espresso machine did not work as well.

My family and I stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it. The staff was part of the best experience we have had traveling with children. From the front desk to housekeeping to the people the served our breakfast. Very accommodating on all requests. We will be returning for sure!

Highly overrated. Terrible attitudes with staff. $40 resort fee provided a bare-bones breakfast with terrible coffee. And a very bizarre customer service mindset. Check this out... I booked for 4 days, and learned on the day of my arrival about a death in the family. I notified the staff and MANAGER with 48 HOURS notice that I would need to check out ONE day early (ie stay 3 not 4 days). Hotels.com understood and agreed, but the hotel manager refused. With 48 hours notice, and a death certificate, they still insisted on charging me for the 4th night. If for no other reason, please consider booking your stay in Venice Beach elsewhere - and I will be boycotting this hotel permanently.

This hotel was phenomenal. Every detail was excellent, like an airbnb.. The rooms were lovely, beds comfortable right by the beach. Staff were very helpful and showed love and care giving our kids gifts, and cleaning our room. Free bike use was awesome. The roof top had great atmosphere and was lovely watching the sunset. We didn’t eat up there as pricey for a family. I just ordered a cocktail and sat up there in my own for a bit. I highly recommend this place and we would love to stay again. Valet parking was $49 a night so we utilized the parking across the street for $40 a night.

This property was lovely and staff amazing. Love the room and balcony overlooking Venice Beach. Not too quiet so keep that in mind, and you do look down on a parking lot below then the beach ahead. But that was fine with us. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area. Parking through the hotel is great--they allowed us to go back and forth to our car before our room was ready. Again, staff was amazing. They have terrific loaner beach towels, balls, and other things. SUPER location right by the beach (parking outside of the hotel is not too easy so I recommend parking at the hotel if you can swing the $49/night fee and walk around the area). The lobby is a bit cramped but everything was terrific so that was not a deal at all. No pool but the beach is amazing so again, no problem. Thanks to the valet, front desk staff and housekeeping staff for a wonderful stay. Our family loved it!!

My family's stay at hotel Erwin was once again, wonderful! Although the surrounding area was not quiet at all which made it hard to sleep at times, the rest of our experience was amazing. Most importantly, the staff was extremely kind and helpful. Any staff member that I came in contact with was thoughtful and helpful. I want to give Shane(Front desk staff/ manager) a huge shout out! Thank you both for acknowledging our every need enthusiastically and helping us feel welcomed! We will be back! Great work Team Erwin!

I can’t even start to explain how much we LOVED our stay at Hotel Erwin! I was a little apprehensive with it being so close to the boardwalk & craziness with my son in tow but it felt safe, quiet, and so much fun. They called the day before and let me know the room I booked wasn’t available do to a maintence issue BUT upgraded us to a king suite (highly recommend this room), let us check in very early, and have us a $100 voucher for the rooftop! We arrived to the warmest welcome, like we were family, and they got us right in. The king suite is amazing - like your own apartment with a kitchen, full size kitchen table, large living room, and totally separate king bedroom. Everything is within walking distance and amazing views of the boardwalk and beach. We used the hotel bikes in the morning and there were so many available & cute. They also have beach towels & other things readily available. The cafe downstairs has amazing food & coffee drinks. Highly recommend the yogurt / granola bowl. Then the rooftop we used a lot to meet up with friends! It’s set up to have your own VIP couch situation with waiter & views are insane! Food and drinks were all so good. So stop your search here and just book it! We already can’t wait for our next visit.

Hotel is nice and clean but we not recommended for family with kids, no free parking,no free breakfast

We wanted to get the Venice Beach experience in our 1 day in LA with family of 4. Perfect Stay, cannot image a better place to stay for the Venice Beach experience.

It seemed like everything was very chaotic. Rooms were not ready at check in. Not really family friendly.
