Foghorn Harbor Inn

Beds very comfy. Location great. Some staff very friendly. Room not cleaned for 2 days. Staff in jeans & t shirts, very unprofessional. The smell of Pot thru the hotel was very strong & staff smoking. No coffee supplied for the first 2 days. Hairdryer ripped out of bathrooms, had to ask for one. Furniture very rickety. Staff's children runnin around reception. Again, very unprofessional. Stayed here a number of years ago and it was a beautiful hotel. Will never stay again.

Access to beach. Good for family and kids

I chose Foghorn because of it's location. We were on the marina, hence the water, but not on the busy-ness and focus of Venice Beach. We also were staying for a while so needed something more affordable and something that had private outdoor space and a place where we could walk from and feel like we were at the beach. There were two levels and while we were on the ground level with only stairs (I think) to that level, the first level seems accessible. I would check first. We really liked the staff, who seemed to be an industrious diverse group of young people! Everyone was responsive and helpful but not overly solicitous! I also really felt at home with the other patrons--it is NOT a place for hoity toity people or people with unreasonable expectations or who feel they need up to date decor. If a person is sensitive to fragrances, the smell from the cleaning supplies was evident--probably not the most eco-friendly. I felt safe as a woman walking early in the morning from the hotel. The area seemed very family friendly! My partner has a sensitive back and they said the mattresses could be better.

I very much enjoyed staying here. The hotel is clean and the staff were friendly. The location is fantastic, and I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends and families.

Horrible experience of my Life. Found ear cotton buds laying down on the floor under desk. When i called the front desk officer he just said apologisoes for that and didnt even bother to remove them. It took me 30min to regulate their water tempurate between burning hot and freezing Cold! Noisy music till 4am in the morning couldmt sleep all night and after sleeping at 5am and woke up late to checkout at 12:30pm they wanted to charge me 50$ for a late checkout which is supposed to be at 11pm! All these for 145$ a Night! U must be kidding me. Not.recommended to anyone! stay away from such louzy places
