Hyatt Place UC Davis

Had a great room - large suite with separate kitchen, dining, bath, living room. Very nice room. Clean. Walkable to the center of town - did it a number of times. Staff were great. Breakfast was really good. Far better than many motels. My only negatives are minor - I reserved a king size bed. Pretty sure this was queen - I have a queen at home. People above me had little kids that ran around - but thats life in motels. The bar in the hotel pictures looks fancier than reality - again truly a minor issue.

The hotel is very conveniently located near the Friendship Heights Metro station on the Red line. The Chevy Chase Pavilion even has its own exit from the metro. The hotel got this low rating not because of its staff, but because it is severely understaffed, especially during the Spring break week. The line for the complimentary breakfast is slow and long, the pool is dirty, and the staff serving the front desk is constantly on the phone answering others. Nevertheless, I could feel that everyone are doing their best, but they are just exhausted. Some may say that you get what you pay for, since this place is quite reasonably priced for its neighborhood. So please do lower your expectations. The last complaint is about its movie on demand system. Your kids will have no trouble purchasing movies if you do not pay attention! The first purchase option also automatically comes with an addition $7 perk that you will never use. So please remember to ask front desk to disable movie on demand for you. Oh, the wifi is indeed free with a coupon provided during check in. Thank you for this.

Off the busy route areas and very quiet.Was however looking forward to using the pool with my family but staffed informed us the pool had heating issues and is closed.

We had a lovely time at Hyatt place during our soccer tournament! The breakfast was great- French toast, hash browns, bacon, oatmeal! It was such a great way to start the day and it was really nice to be on campus. Staff was helpful and the kitchen staff was especially kind with the kids- they made them all feel special.

This was a good stay for us for a family Thanksgiving. The room itself and the mattress were comfortable. The bathroom fan was kind of loud, but other than that, the room was nice and quiet. Both on check-in and check-out, we had to wait for someone to come to the empty reception area.

My family goes to Davis for meeting my son who is in the summer school. This is the closest hotel. It's in the university and walkable to the campus. Nice experience

Convenience to our Davis family Property needs to update ADA including difficult height of bedding

This property is right on the UCD campus, 2 mins from the welcome center. It's clean, it's new, it's a gem. We were visiting multiple schools and I am hoping my child will decide on UCD so I can stay at a Hyatt when I go visit.

I loved that the hotel was right on campus and within walking distance of the Arboretum and campus buildings. There was a campus daily parking rate charge that I did not like (UC policy), but because my child is a student there, we received a discount on the parking charge.

We have stayed here many times and always enjoyed it. This time we were charged a $17 per night parking fee (which we have never paid before), and moments after we checked in we heard the same staff tell the next family checking in that they would waive the $17 fee because they were staying 4 nights. We stayed 4 nights and they did not waive that fee for us. Also, the breakfast used to be very nice with both hot food and packaged food made available. This time we would come down at 8 am with one bagel and a few packages of cereal available.
