Forest Villas Hotel - Prescott

Top notch. It’s rare to find a staff that cares but this staff treats you like family.

Check-in was efficient. The GM made a point of telling me to come back soon for fresh cookies, and warned me that I’d notice a wonderful baking smell soon. Her words. The guidebook in my room also promoted cookies after 3 pm. Lots of hype for cookies! However, in four separate trips through the lobby between 3 and 7 pm, there were never any cookies available. No wonderful smell. Once, the desk girl said come back in 20 minutes. Another time she said 10 minutes, and “I can call you!” I think it’s odd that they make such a big deal of promoting fresh cookies, like it’s a signature perk, but I couldn’t get a single cookie in four trips through the lobby. To be clear, I don’t care about cookies, but I’m definitely glad I didn’t have kids with me like other families did. I wouldn’t have known anything about cookies if they hadn’t made such a point to tell me they offer them, both at check in, and in the room literature. They should probably stop promoting this “perk”, because they can’t deliver, for whatever reason. Mgr mentioned I was getting a room with a newly renovated bathroom. It was small, clean, and very basic. The shower didn’t drain, so I showered in a pan with a couple inches of soapy water. Bed was comfy, but I had to move the nightstand because the bedside lamp was unplugged. It’s VERY dirty behind it. Room 115 needs attention. Hotel is on par w/ Days Inn or similar, but with nicer lobby seating for the basic free breakfast. Lynx Lake is very close.

Property was close to everything, pet friendly and front desk Diane was very friendly and accommodating. She explained everything and even provided us lists of where to go in Prescott. Hotel has good breakfast, and complimentary cookies and coffees all day. Thank you, I will definitely come back and will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I liked the property and the only reason I gave it two stars was the paper-thin walls and noise. I was disturbed during the entire visit by a family with young children in the next room. Kicking on the walls, jumping on the floor, crying, laughing, and even them talking to each other…I heard it all and it was incredibly annoying. I heard everyone who talked in the hallway. And the piano playing in the lobby early morning was lovely…when I was in the lobby. I didn’t want to hear it all morning in my room. Not getting peace and quiet in my room just ruins the entire stay for me…even if everything else was good.

We loved the welcoming and friendly service. The atmosphere and style of the hotel was great. Very family friendly! Excellent quality breakfast and enjoyed the cleanliness of the pool and outdoor seating areas. I would definitely choose to stay here again. It’s also close to many shops and restaurants.
