Hyatt Place Scottsdale/Old Town

We had a family member in the hospital and this location was close to the hospital. There were lots of restaurant options nearby.

I had a fantastic experience at the Hyatt in Scottsdale/Old Town. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. I was traveling with my two smaller children and I never felt uncomfortable in or around the hotel. The room was clean, the water pressure was great, I have no complaints! Would definitely recommend for anyone especially families with children.

The room was clean but there was no soap by the kitchen sink, and no bottled water. Seemed like whoever cleaned the room was in a rush to get it done (we checked in at 10pm, so the rush was not because of us). But the biggest issue is that the hotel is right by a nightclub and they share a parking lot. I was not aware of this when I booked, I only found out when Hyatt sent me a text with parking info. I wasn’t too happy about it, traveling with a child in a rental car. I was worried that the car will get scratched or something. When we checked in we found ear plugs on the nightstand. I didn’t really think much of it, I just noted that it was odd. Then at 1:30 I got woken up by a woman screaming in the parking lot, clearly intoxicated. This went on for a while, until she eventually drove away with her friends. We only stayed one night so I didn’t say anything, but if I am ever in Scottsdale again I will not stay at this hotel again. Too bad, because the property itself is nice, clean and the breakfast is great! I am sure they are not too happy about the nightclub either. For some guests it may even be a plus, being so close to the hotel. But those years are behind me.

We stayed 2 nights and specifically chose to book this hotel bc of the positive reviews we read. Our experience was entirely different than what we expected. We areived to find the underside of the toilet lid with a hige splatter of vomit drilling down it. Each night of our stay, we woken up precisely at 2:38am by cars streetracing and doing smokeshows in the adjacent parking lot. For a solid thirty minutes, we were subjected to noisy, drunk club goers walking past. I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere if you are traveling with children.

Centrally located for easy access to freeways. Great breakfast. Unfortunately parents let their pre n teenage kids run wild throughout the hotel.

Property located near a club and, club goers in and out after hours intoxicated, hallways smell like marijuana. Would not recommend for families,

The hotel clearly did not skimp on bedding, slept like a baby both nights, where normally I struggle with sleep. The only minor issue we had was parking - accessing parking, especially at night was confusing and a little difficult.

The room feels comfortable and spacious. It was clean and accommodated my family of 5.
