The Wigwam

We love this property so much because it’s very easy to get in and out to your room. Parking is close. Great lawns for our dogs and they have a great restaurant selection. Breakfast has always been very good and room service is excellent. We usually only spend one night because we’re traveling through, but hope to one day spend more than one night and enjoy the golf course And pool area. Huge slide for the kids it’s great. It looks wonderful although their lounge chairs are very old-school. The vinyl slats could be updated.

The check in time was 4pm and they were supposed to text me when the room was ready. At 4:45 I went to the front desk and asked status and the room was ready, but they never texted. This made us late for our dinner reservation. The pool is nice but there was a ton of kids. People are supposed to wear wrist bands to show that they are guests at the hotel, but very few people were wearing them. It appears that they let anyone in. There were so many people that there were no available loungers anywhere and very little shade. They need to consider a sail shade for the pool.

We came to the resort as a family to enjoy a staycation. We enjoyed the majority of the stay with the exception of the following. First, our room was not ready for almost an hour after the promised time and no concession was offered. It would have been nice to have received some drink vouchers or something. The pool area was rather unclean the entire time we were there including early morning when we first arrived to our chairs. We had to clean up the area by our chairs before sitting down. There was also a huge lack of garbage cans throughout the resort. Our room had one small can in the bathroom and there was no place to throw garbage away in the pool area. The resort is lovely but could use a little bit better attention.

We’ve stayed at this property before and have always had a great time. This time however we had an absolute awful experience. The pool was dirty only half of it was open due to renovation which was not mentioned until check in (one of the reasons I chose this resort was for the pool and the slide my kids enjoy). Once it got dark there was not much lighting in the pool or jacuzzi area which was a major safety concern with small children swimming. The tennis rentals close at 4pm on the weekend but stay open until 9pm during the week. Which makes no sense at all!! There was not much for the kids to do at all especially teens. Then we were woken up at 9am by housekeeping asking us about check out which was not until 11 am! Very inconvenient and unnecessary.

Great resort. Service at restaurants was way below expectations (45 min - 1.5 hour wait for 2 kids 2 adults meals) otherwise awesome.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful! My kids loved the pool and hubby loved the bar at the pool. Breakfast at Red Allen’s was amazing!!!

Took the kids and had a blast

I had a pleasant experience at this beautiful resort. Malachi was our valet driver, he was kind while making sure we made it to the right room without the stress of finding the location, he gladly drove us to our room and took our bags in as well. I would strongly suggest this resort to all my family and friends.

Loved this hotel. It’s beautiful! The staff was amazing and I absolutely plan on going back for a longer visit! Highly recommend. It’s family friendly or great for a couple trying to escape.

The cost of the stay did not reflect the room and pool area. The pool area was nice and clean, but the splash pad was old and hard if a kid were to slip. The water slide was not little kid friendly. My 5-year-old and 3-year-old wanted to go down the slide but could not use it. Maybe have a smaller slide that smaller kids could use. I wish you had more things to do for the kids. The room was clean but needed to be updated for the cost of the room. The bathtub had paint chipping, and the room smelled musty/old.
