Aloft Birmingham Soho Square

Walls were paper thin. Had to listen to loud kids in the room next to me who were up late. At 12:30 am a girl was in the room and I had to listen to she and a guy having sex. My 14 year son was in my room and thank God didn’t know what was happening. I couldn’t call the lobby because the phone wouldn’t dial the front desk. Kept getting a busy signal. No instructions about anything in our room. No directions or maps as to how to find things at the hotel. Housekeepers don’t come to our room on Saturday and change out towels. I had to go downstairs after a long day and get them. The lady at the desk sat off to the corner in the lobby at a table and not at the desk so most of us didn’t know there was someone there to help. I will never stay there again! Also, refrig didn’t work and no microwave! 😞

There was a young kid at the front desk that was a pleasure to speak with, I believe his name was Charlie. If you need food recommendations for the area be sure to talk with him!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Everyone was amazing. Plenty of parking. So much within walking distance. Great experience for the whole family. We played games in the lobby in the evenings. Full bar and excellent service from Terry. It was a great experience and lots of greal memories made. We will absolutely stay here again when we come back to Birmingham.

Very clean, family friendly and pet friendly. All hotel staff from the front desk, the bar to the cleaning were very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is very safe and pet friendly. The hotel is in walking distance to multiple restaurants and boutique shopping. It’s also just minutes away from bigger attractions like the zoo, museums and The Summit. Highly recommend this hotel for families and those who travel with pets.
