The room was fantastic. Check in was easy and quick. Appreciated parking just behind hotel. But something the hotel could not control was the motorcycles and hot rods up and down the street with music blaring well into the night. My next stay I will ask not to be street side. Plus kids were running up and down my hall laughing and slamming doors. Was hard to go to sleep but the bed, bedding, and ceiling fan were great!

I wish I read the reviews more carefully upon booking. Parking is super sketchy here and across the street. What’s worse is the staff called it “VIP” parking but it’s just a public parking lot where homeless people sleep. I had my baby with me and felt unsafe parking there and walking to and from the hotel. We checked out immediately and didn’t even bother staying. I would never want to put my child in a situation like that. I would never recommend this hotel unless you don’t have a car and don’t have to worry about the transportation.

The hotel was great, I loved the safety of having to have a room key to enter the building after a certain hour and having to have a room key to enter and use the elevator. I would’ve given a perfect score but the parking was across the road in a public parking deck. The charge was $25 per night to park. The walk to the hotel at night made me feel really uneasy. You walk down an alley where there are clubs then cross the street to the hotel. When paying the price of the hotel, parking shouldn’t be off the premises nor should it cost $25 per night. The staff was wonderful. Very polite. The room was spacious and great for anyone traveling with children.

It is a nice hotel with friendly staff. The area around the hotel wasn't safe to walk with family.

Parking situation is ridiculous. Why was i not offered or told about the parking lot behing the building but the customer checking in in front of me were? I had to carry my sleeping children across the street and then my 4yo had surgery at 6am so had to do it all again in the wee hours of the morning. Also breakfast was gross. Room was fine.

In Birmingham for a family vacation and a UAB visit. Pros: Location, Front Desk Staff, Breakfast, Decor outside of the room, key access at all entries, easy parking Cons: dated furniture/fixtures in room that need repair, floors in room were sticky, pool was cloudy, room wasn't available at check-in and required a short wait in the lobby, beds/couch/pullout couch were uncomfortable, property manager (Diana) very rude on the phone Had an opportunity to extend our vacation, ended up moving hotels for the last 3 days

Nice clean place. We had a 2 queen room with kitchen. What made the stay was the breakfast staff!! Reginald was aswesome!! He made our breakfast experience outstanding. He went out of his way to help my kids get what they wanted to eat! Very friendly. Even brought out a cup of fancy made ice coffee for my husband!

I was in town for 1 night as my child was going through UAB orientation. Saw several negative reviews, but my experience was fantastic. Front desk was very helpful. Parking lot was easy and seems very large. Stayed on the 6th floor. Room looked fairly new (renovated) and very clean. I have a bad back and bed slept very well for me. All staff I interacted with were very nice. It is very close to UAB and many places to eat within walking distance. Had a nice full hot breakfast (eggs, biscuits, oatmeal, toast, pastries, etc.). I thought this was a great place to stay and will book again as I will be making multiple trips to UAB over the next 4 years.
