Great location for a family break and a spot of local island hopping. Good food and good choice for kids. Only minor quibble was the time taken in the evenings to be served, but it is the same for many hotels just now as they deal with staff shortages thanks to Brexit. Overall a great hotel in a beautiful location.

Was there for a wedding. But night before the wedding they closed the bar at 10:30pm and then told to leave the bar. Guests of the wedding were still arriving and couldn’t sit to great members of their families as there was no place to sit, talk (about tomorrow’s wedding) have a tea, drink or anything.
I gave the rating of staff to the manager. Quick enough
to take money for wedding but not to cater for wedding party guests that stayed over 1 or 2 nights is a really big turn off. Bad customer service!!
Cleaning staff went beyond their job to help with a dress malfunction. So thank you to the lady who helped with that.
Gave 2 stars for facilities, because of the closing of bar and then telling people to leave. Bar staff were willing to stay on! So the manager needs to go on a course for customer service. No wonder the hotel was quiet apart from the weddings that must keep it going.
Beautiful hotel and grounds.

On arrival at the hotel they couldn’t find our room key, Receptionists said they’d seen our name & key but didn’t know where it was as they had lots of people change rooms! They eventually printed off another registration form & gave us the key for room 106. This room had obviously been set up for a family as the sofa bed had been made up. We paid extra for a sea view room, room 106 has a partial sea view as shown in the image below. False advertising if you ask me. Stayed here a few times however this has been the worst room we had!

The hotel is of a good standard for the area, but has been better, the staff are friendly, hotel facilities are good, it’s clean and well maintained. However, the cost is top end and we’ve been going a few years now because we’ve family in the area, but we were incorrectly booked into the wrong room, although Expedia were blamed, one room for 2 adults and 2 children for £175/night bnb.. really? They did move our room for the second night to a Kilbride, which has 2 separate rooms.. like we’d booked. Breakfast used to be top quality, now’s seem to be cutting corners, coffee machine rather than waitress asking if you’d like a pot of tea or coffee. The quality of meat for sausage and bacon not what it was. I used to feel that I’d got good value, now think I might try a change. The kids do like the pool, which is main attraction for them. In all, I’d recommend but it has been better.

We had booked an overnight for my wife’s 40th birthday and we were generally disappointed with the experience.
On check-in we were put into the wrong room from the one booked. We had booked an executive double room with King Bed and Double Sofa Bed for myself, my wife and 6 year old, the room we were given had a double bed and a cot for a baby.
We then came back to reception and were told this is what they had on the system and thought we might struggle with the cot, not sure why they let us go. I tried to explain the room we had booked but there seemed to be little interest.
We were moved to a more suitable room to the building adjacent to the main hotel and told someone would come and make the sofa bed. The new room was not as nice as those in the main hotel but at least had adequate beds. We went for a swim and came back to find the sofa bed had been made but there was no sheet so had to phone reception to send someone back.
We ordered room service however on arrival the order for our son was wrong so we called back straight away and asked for the correct order to be sent asap, unfortunately we had to wait a while for this which was not ideal given how late it was for a 6 year old.
The noise from the adjacent room was very clear and the noise of screaming and running children after 10 didn’t help.
Lunch on the day of arrival was good as we had booked for 15 people and although service was slow the staff had advised in advance that they were short staffed but good

Seamill hydro was brilliant, very accommodating with all my dietary requirements and mobility issues. During my stay I was at a wedding and the staff were all fabulous, kind friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
I would say that the walls in our room were quite thin so when I was having a rest in the afternoon it was very busy with children banging on the wall. When I returned at night it was very quiet so that made for a better night's sleep.

Perfect room for family with teenagers- had a separate lounge with sofa bed. Everything about the hotel is first class from food to the leisure facilities.

Stayed for a family celebration. Spacious rooms with lovely sea views. Facilities were great and hotel access straight onto beach. Only downside was the beds were too firm for my needs but did not spoil our time at the hotel. Would definitely return and stay longer.

Beautiful hotel and nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the breakfast was delicious. Had a room with a sea view which was great. My only complaint would be the spa facility was very stressful. Changing area so small, did not get a shower when I came out as there was 3 and all being used by families and pool was very cold.
