Riverside Lodge Hotel

I stayed at the hotel because I was visiting family in the area. I arrived at the hotel to check in late evening. The receptionist on my arrival was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the shower and bathing facilities were excellent. The only slight complaint I have is that the bedding sheets were slightly damp but after a long relaxing hot bath in the morning that was a distant memory.

Hotel very convenient to down town. Have stayed there before and would recommend it to other visitors. I am originally from Irvine and now live in the states so enjoy visiting my home town and family and friends. Enjoy the meals and lounge area. Convenient parking area. Will stay there again when I visit Irvine,

When I arrived at my room after checking in, the door was open so I had to check the whole room to make sure no one was in there. There was very few TV channels, about 6 before getting to kids telly. At breakfast the next morning, the toast was premade and left under a heat lamp with the breakfast buffet, the toast was rock hard. I ordered porridge, it was probably the worst I've tasted. I asked the waiter if the coffee was instant or filter as I have an allergy to filter, he told me it was instant, I asked if he was sure and he said yes however it was filter, I was feeling sick all day with a horrendous headache even after taking pain killers. There was one lady at breakfast who was super nice and wanted to try to put things right for me but I just wanted to leave. Would probably only stay here again if I was desperate.
