Celebrated my 60th Birthday and had family from Inverness into the hotel for a meal on the evening of my birthday and the food was tasty and well presented. Having stayed twice before the breakfast was at its normal high standard and all the staff are very pleasant.

Nice enough but not worth the price. Gym was thoroughly lacking; dirty, old and rusted weights and weight machines. Cardio room had 2 faulty treadmills and a bunch of random equipment packed in tightly together. Room was nice enough but walls thin with the sound of children running up and down. At one point I randomly checked how much I’d paid and realised it was double what I thought! Maybe because it’s well known here but if I were to come again, I’d stay somewhere else. View was nice. Breakfast is extensive though the fruit is probably canned and scrambled eggs are made from powder. One of the breakfast hosts was extremely rude because apparently I committed the worst crime by putting my coat on a chair before ‘checking in’ for breakfast. She actually tapped the sign that said “please wait to be seated”. All well and good but I’d been waiting for a while and also no idea why she wanted to start an argument with me even as I was walking away. Sour face. Lovely people on the front desk though.

Pool and game room were nice. Great place for kids. Loud and kids running around everyone screaming down the halls though. Wait service room forever.

Primarily our fault for choosing this time of year, but the amount of unsupervised kids and lack of quiet areas spoiled the experience.

We had 2 rooms, but they separated us from my family, and put us in a separate building. Nothing special about the room.

It was indeed a pleasant experience overall for stay with family... Glad we chose this hotel... The only one drawback was that the deluxe room we stayed didn't have a hand shower neither in the walk-in shower nor in the bath tub... Just a personal inconvenience especially with children..

Lovely old style hotel with modern facilities. Stayed in the new accommodation wing across the car park where good sized bed and room. Ate well in both restaurants during our stay. Only criticism is that went for a swim on Saturday afternoon where a child was receiving private swimming lesson. Initially coach was loud but after 45 mins child (aged about 9) started to scream outrageously and mother of child would not come and calm him down, just sat and watched thru glass window for 15mins after which time I left as couldn’t put up with noise. Pool manager wouldn’t or couldn’t do anything about it when I mentioned it to him. I wouldn’t go back to the pool again and the event adversely affected an otherwise lovely stay.
