Holiday Inn Express Hamilton, an IHG Hotel

Nice hotel and excellent staff and only downside is the clientele that uses it . Lots of families with screaming misbehaving brats who made too much noise and were a nightmare at breakfast and if you wanted an evening meal . Nice room great breakfast and LGBT friendly staff but is a nightmare at times because of the ill disciplined and unruly children and families who stay at the hotel

Staff was very nice and helpful...good options for breakfast... rooms big and comfy... The only negative that i found was the carpet in the room that was dirthy. If it would've been only myself and hy husband it wouldn't bother me that much but having a baby with me that crawls most of the time......

The beds and the pillows were like bricks I lay with a sore neck n back fr the last 3 days then the kids couldn't hear the TV when we asked staff to fix it they couldn't the and the breakfast was disgusting burnt bacon n sausage n beans and I wouldn't recommend

Had a 3 night stay visiting family, overall room was basic but comfortable. Mattress could do with an upgrade. Staff were very helpful and polite. But, breakfast was dismal and almost inedible. Buffet style hot food was badly overcooked or dried out in the warming pans, and not refreshed regular enough. Very limited continental items, had to ask for plates and cups and general food hygiene by staff very poor and not followed.

Stayed last year for a wedding. My daughters loved it. Special mention to lovely reception staff, particularly Donna in reception. Donna told Maia my youngest last year she was absolutely beautiful before attending a family wedding. She made such a fuss of her it was lovely. We were again coming up to Scotland for my girls eldest sisters 21st in December. As far as my daughters were concerned, there was no debate about where to go, 'Donnas hotel'!! As first impressions count so much, all hotel reception staff could learn so much from this hotel. They are so lovely, absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them. They welcome visitors with a smile every time and it makes such a difference. The day we left, Christmas eve, Donna the girl i mentioned took Maia my daughter aside and she had gone out and bought her a selection box. That there is the little things that make all the difference and makes a hotel. The USP of this particular hotel is their staff. You just can't buy service like that. For the second visit to be even better than the first visit says all you need to know. The staff are brilliant, the hotel itself is beautiful and the breakfast is excellent. We'll be staying at 'Donnas hotel' again!! You cannot pay staff like that enough.

this is our second stay at the hotel. the staff is great, the room is clean and we were with the dog, who got a welcome gift at the reception. Breakfast tasty, traditional enough for us. parking okay, free, close to the hotel. My family also had no bad comments about the cleanliness of the bathroom and the room.

Although next to busy roads once shut windows and secondary glazing it was ok. Staff very cheery and very helpful especially as I have mobility issues. Good breakfast. Very clean. Definitely would use again when visiting family.
