Lovely. But is it possible to find a way for families to enjoy the bowling at night? Seems a bit limiting to only make it available to adults who are drinking.

First time here. Very good. Had the air conditioning set to stiff nips. Excellent on a warm summer day. Bed was great. It was only in the morning I noticed just how much they pack into a room that size. Great for a few nights solo or a couple but need a bigger room if you are a family or kinky group.

I believe this a more or a youth hostel than a proper hotel. Tiny beds, bunk beds, rooms like cabins of a ship are not somthing suitable for a family. Location is of course great right next to glasgow central but on expense of comfort.

This is a very simple hotel with rooms on the smaller side. This wasn’t an issue since I was traveling alone, but it may be a bit small for couples and/or families. The hotel location was conveniently located near city center, walking distance to most major attractions and buses. Buffet breakfast was great, and I utilized the gold member perk of $5 off my meal.

We were lucky and booked the VIP Suite Room 601 (booked months in advance). It was SO spacious, the bathroom was the size of our hotel in London, so great to spread out. We had some nice views over the roof of the Glasgow Central Station. We had a glitch in that another guest was smoking in their room and set-off the fire alarm at 12:15am having the entire hotel have to evacuate--not hotel's fault, but couldn't sleep as well after that. The staff was very good in managing everyone, so nice to know if real serious fire, we were in good hands and were back in our rooms in 30 minutes. (The doorman across at the Radisson wouldn't let family with small kids or older people sit inside while waiting to be allowed back for fear of a rush of others--maybe arrange with them so vulnerable folks could have nicer place to wait). We were lucky in that we had a kettle and fridge, but no amenities in the way of coffee or tea (luckily we had brought some). As mentioned, the bathroom with double sinks was huge and the shower and amenities were perfect. The cool double automatic window shades were great and the block out shade really worked in that when we raised them in the morning, it was like a massive bright light of day coming in. We counted, our room had 13 windows across the whole area so no complaints about being a room with a view (although you might want to keep shades down in the evening as the new Motel One and you can wave to each other). Overall, great stay!

In all the travel we've done, I've never experienced reserving a specific type of room (First class suite in this case) and have that room be given away to "a larger party." I book a room for specific reasons. It's the room I want for my family. Instead, they're placed in a smaller room underneath the bowling alley that kept them up late into the night. The staff did give them a new room (still not the room I booked) not underneath the bowling alley but this room's air conditioner didn't work. The open bathroom meant my adult kids having to maneuver in a cramped room to not watch each other shower each day. The staff also gave them free breakfast, which was nice. It's still not satisfactory when you can't rest and relax in the room you paid for bc the hotel policy is not to honor your reservation. I don't blame the staff; I blame hotel policy. I wouldn't recommend this hotel bc who knows what room you'll land in -- providing a total lack of trust.
