Ocean Mist Leith

Had an absolutely amazing family weekend in Ocean Mist. The boat was absolutely immaculate. The staff were absolutely amazing and helpful and couldn’t do enough to help. The location is superb, fine dining nearby, superb drink selection and continental breakfast lovely too. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely being returning

This is a unique place to stay in Edinburgh, it is a boat once owned by a member of the Guinness family, now refurbished with a huge amount of love and pride and run as a hotel. Our flight was delayed so it was almost 10 pm when we arrived, but Alfonso, who greeted us, very kindly phoned the pub opposite, the Ship on the Shore, and persuaded them to feed us, even though the kitchen was about to close. The food there was delicious. Breakfast at Ocean Mist was very nice, with a lovely view from the dining area, it was also a great place to have a drink before retiring for the night. It is easy to get to the centre of Edinburgh and to the airport by tram from this hotel. My husband had had quite serious surgery a month or so before this trip, and this caused some issues that were potentially upsetting for us, but the staff at Ocean Mist were kindness itself, I can't praise them enough. We were so grateful for their help and would definitely stay here again when visiting Edinburgh.

We loved our three night stay on The Ocean Mist. The rooms are definitely small, but very clean, stylish and comfortable. The breakfast room (bar at night) is beautiful and the continental breakfast each morning is wonderful. Finally, as a family-owned and run business, this hotel stands apart. All staff have been extremely helpful and friendly. We cannot say enough good about our stay.

This is my second visit to this boat. It is spectacular within and very comfortable, decor and detail within is outstanding. You'll never be disappointed if you visited this for an overnight or just to pop in for a drink. There is a lot of history with this boat and staff who are very friendly and helpful are very knowledgeable about its existence. A family run business who work hard to run a smooth operation and it wouldn't go without saying the staff believe they are part of this new venture. I've never met so many happy employees. So happy with the 2 upgrades I got. First class, Wow
