Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh - Leith Waterfront, an IHG Hotel

We paid £1400 for 2 nights because Taylor Swift played in Edinburgh. I accepted this but the room was ridiculous. I booked as 2 adults and 2 kids (14&12) and there was a double bed and a sofa bed that was just bigger than a single. The divert was for a single bed and was not fit for purpose and the mattress was so thin you could feel the metal underneath. The beds filled the whole room and it was so squished in. The staff laughed at how much we had paid. There was barely any food left at breakfast and was absolutely rammed. I understand it was not a usual situation but this was a massive rip off. I will not be staying at a holiday inn ever again because of this experience.

Great location for us. We had a fanily room. Not enough coat hangers for a family of 4 storage was minimal. Fold out bed VERY noisy when kids were moving about on it. We had a fire alarm and communication wasnt great. Room was clean and well kept. Staff were all friendly. Busy hotel breakfast time manged well and quickly seated. Would stay again

A great hotel for our family of 4. Breakfast included in the price, which was a great bonus! The staff were friendly, helpful and kind. Easy check in and check out, plenty of parking. Great location. On princess street within 20 minutes, using the tram. Room is small but ideal for an overnight or weekend city break. Would go back again.

Amazing hotel so clean and very accommodating. Rooms are also a decent size We only have a 3 month old baby and the staff couldn’t do enough for us to make sure we had everything we needed Will definitely return to this hotel.

My stay was very welcoming, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms neat and well stocked for a weary traveller. The breakfast was served in an excellent atmosphere wherby you can have a nice meal from the array of food. Iam very happy with the transportation links to places i needed to go from the hotel. Would visit again and I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Wanted a family room but ended up in one room with my 3 kids.

Easy to get to. Service was friendly and helpful. Loved the buffet breakfast. Overall great place for a family travelling arpund the UK.

Came to Scotland for family funeral. Hotel clean and tidy service exceptional . Good variety for breakfast. Bar staff cheerful and helpful. During breakfast one morning had to ask for assistance to deal with delicate matter . Scott one of the management team dealt with it promptly and efficiently.

The family room was very small. The kids bed when folded out took up all remaining floor space. We were climbing over beds and bags to navigate this very small space. The main reception area was nice enough and the breakfast good.
