Me my daughter and grandaughter had a i night stay with breakfast we had a family room which had 2 double beds and quite spacious it was overlooking carpark so a bit noisy theough the evening . Bathroom had shower over bath with a bath screen which did leak a little Check in was quick and easy , my grandaughter and myself went swimming early afternoon i was quite surprised as the pool was smaller than i thought it would be it was busy but not over crowded The pool area was a bit tired looking and so too the changing rooms with only 2 cubicles for changing and my grandaughter being 11 needs her privacy so we had to wait for one to become free. Again most lockers were broken or missing keys Breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked You had continental, choice of cereals and fruit salad you cooked your own toast and they had machines for coffee, tea etc Service was very friendly and helpful Checkout was 11am and 12 on a sunday Will certainly be back

We got an email for an upgrade to a junior suite with a view and we got a similar size room, no bath and they started cutting the golf course grass at 545am, I barely slept after that

Booked a family trip to Carnoustie. The people in Carnoustie are exceptionally friendly however this is a golf town with not a lot else going on. The hotel food was very good and we also enjoyed a meal at the Station Hotel which was very nice.

Excellent hotel, have stayed numerous times and never disappoints. Some of the bedrooms are getting ‘tired’ and in need of a refresh but are still nice. Ideal location for golf enthusiasts but also ideal for couples and families.

Holiday with 2 young children (3y and 11 weeks) and it was excellent. Receptionist who checked us in was efficient and friendly, staff in restaurant were so warm and welcoming. Varied breakfast options available and the quality of food was good. The swimming pool was the perfect temperature for the baby to have his first swim and the family room was of the appropriate size. I would be interested to know if there were any family rooms on the opposite side of the hotel as a view of the coast with a balcony would have been ideal, especially to have a seat after the kids went to sleep! It’s not clear on the website if this is the case. We will definitely be back.

The only complaint I have about the junior suite we stayed in is that the room was poorly lit, it was difficult to find clothes in the wardrobe once there was no natural light. Also as a women I found that there were no surfaces in the en-suite to place items, it was a challenge to apply any makeup leaning over the basin.

We chose the upgraded room with a balcony facing the 1st tee and 18th green. It was well worth the difference! After we finished our rounds we would sit on the balcony watching the other groups finishing on #18. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. The staff was very nice. The building next door also has a restaurant called the rookery that overlooks the 1st holes fairway. Within walking distance is a beach park for kids and a delicious indian restaurant (Chillies). Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay! Wish we were there longer but this was just part of our 9 day Scotland golf trip!
