We stayed in room 111 and had family staying in other rooms. Every member of staff we met were lovely, friendly and polite. The room was very clean but there was a few things a bit off. Bits of black mould in the shower, silverfish in the bathroom, Bulb missing from the big light on the ceiling and the bedside spot lights way too bright, which made getting ready for a funeral difficult as I am a bit short to be leaning over the bathroom sink to access the mirror. The breakfast was lovely and bountiful there was some nice touches.

Great accomodation as usual apart from the silver fish running around the shower tray,did report these on departure, reception noted and said this will be dealt with. This is a little bit disappointing since this has been our regular hotel to visit whilst visiting our son and family.Apart from that best brekky in Birmingham status confirmed

Had everything we wanted - really comfortable bed, good shower and excellent breakfast. Just lacked a few things. Reception was a 'hot desk' and having to wait for someone to spot that we were waiting to check in and out wasn't great. The wine from the bar was tepid, despite being in a fridge plus not one pair of matching wine glasses. Breakfast was great but no-one to greet us or show us to a table or clear any tables when people left. Tables were a bit cramped together. But all in all it was one night for 2 adults and 2 grown children so had everything we needed, just lacked the personal touch but I guess you get what you pay for. Free wifi went down well with the 2 teenage boys :-)
